Abstract

"MéTODO E APARELHO PARA CONTROLAR A APRESENTAçãO DE DADOS DE VìDEO DIGITAIS" Um método e um aparelho para reproduzir uma parte predeterminada de um programa imediatamente anterior a um horário de apresentação atual. Uma exibição em tela é automaticamente ativada enquanto reproduz a parte predeterminada do programa para permitir que o observador perceba melhor o diálogo que pode ter sido perdido ou é difícil de entender devido ao ruído de fundo. Em particular, a presente invenção compreende um transdutor para recuperar as unidades de dados de vídeo digitais e as unidades de dados de controle a partir de uma fonte de dados de vídeo e fornecendo dados codificados digitalmente, um decodificador acoplado ao transdutor para decodificar uma exibição de dados codificados digitalmente, e um controlador para apresentar um programa com base em uma seq³ência de unidades de dados de vídeo em resposta a um primeiro registro de usuário e reproduzindo uma parte predeterminada do programa anterior ao horário de apresentação atual em resposta a um segundo registro de usuário, o controlador fornecendo uma exibição em tela enquanto reproduz a parte predeterminada do progama que antecede ao horário de apresentação atual. A presente invenção é particularmente adequada para o processamento de dados codificados de acordo com a especificação DVD.
