Abstract

Un nouveau monohydrate cristallin de l'acide 7-(D-alpha-amino-alpha-(3-chloro-4-hydroxyphnyl)acétamido)-3-méthyl-3-céphème-4-carboxylique (I) qui est une forme stable spécialement utile pour les compositions pharmaceutiques est obtenu, notamment, par ajustement du pH d'une solution contenant le composé en question en présence d'un excès de diméthylformamide ou d'acétonitrile pour la formation du solvate diméthylformamidique ou acétonitrilique correspondant, qui est dissout dans de l'eau acidifiée et reprécipité sous forme de monohydrate. La composition pharmaceutique comprenand le dérivé (I) est destinée au traitement des mammifères atteints de maladies provoquées par des bactéries Gram-positives ou Gram-négatives.
