Thermoplastic container production Method for producing a can, beaker or bottle with closure such as lid or cap consists of heating then stretching a flat film of thermoplastic material in to such shape that a lid-shaped cover is obtained with controlled orientation of the plastic molecules. The cover is fitted around the neck of an opening in the wall of the container. The edge of the cover is shrunk by heating to ensure that it remains in contact with the neck.
