Abstract

The tubular plastic blank is held at the neck zone by the circular vacuum unit when the neck zone of the mould is closed to give a rapid cooling affect. A blow-moulded, filled and sealed vessel in a thin-wall construction, is provided with no weak zones at the neck, allowing the vessel to be fitted with a rip-off sealing tab.
