The invention relates to rinsing tanks made of enamelled sheet steel. These boxes are very sensitive to knocks and shocks, especially on their edges. We have therefore already tried to protect them against these drawbacks by wooden frames which are screwed to them. Regardless of the fact that the manufacture of these frames is expensive and their assembly complicated, they suffer from deformation as a result of their continuous contact with moisture. This fact again increases in any case the already existing possibility of moisture getting in between the wooden frame and the bottom edge, where the entrained dirt particles bind and turn into rot with all harmful phenomena that accompany it.
The object of the present invention is to overcome these drawbacks by providing the edge of the rinsing tanks with a protective coating of rubber or artificial material. The coating can be tight or stretched over the tray thanks to the elasticity inherent in the material; it can also be glued or fixed by means of screws, rivets or the like.
Several examples of construction embodying the idea of the invention are shown in the drawing.
Figure 1 shows a partial vertical section through an edge of a rinse tank provided with a protective coating tight against it.
FIG. 2 represents the same part provided with a glued protective coating.
Figures 3 and 4 show the same part provided with a screw coating.
Figure 5 is a sectional view in accordance with Figure 1 through a rinsing tank free of a wooden frame.
FIG. 6 is an edge of a tray free of a wooden frame provided with a cover rod.
In order to secure according to the invention the protective coating provided with a colt: 3 protruding downwards, without special means, only thanks to its inherent elasticity, on the edge of the rinsing tank 1, it seems appropriate to give the latter the shape shown in Figures 1 or 5, so that it has only a thin edge in the form of a bulge @ mani of a neck 3 projecting downwards. The coating then acquires a cross section having approximately the shape of an ellipse open on one side, which fits by its remaining parts 4 and 5 tapering in the shape of a cone inwards, from above above the edge. with bulge 2 and from below above the neck 3.
If the protective coating is to be glued, there is no need to attach special importance to high elasticity.
In this case, the arrangement is preferably designed so that the protective covering 6 folds up from the top above the edge 7 of the container and again comes to rest against the wooden frame 9 of the container above its stretched upright 8. down (figure 2).
In the case where the connection must be made by means of screws, it is proposed in accordance with the invention to ensure the support of the protective coating on its seat by a rod, for example aluminum, provided with a bolt 12 directed inwards which passes through the wooden frame 13 and is tightened by a nut 14. But the rod 15 can also be shaped as the section of the covering and covered with cast rubber 16 or incorporated into a artificial material (see figure 4).

Although in the embodiments described, the rinsing tanks are shown in combination with a wooden frame, the idea of the invention can equally well be carried out on tanks free of wooden frames (see for example figure 5). It is also possible to fix the protective covering 17 by means of flat-head screws 18 or the like: to the edge 19 of the tank and to provide it with guide grooves 20 below which can be driven or tightened a rod 21 covering the heads. quote.
