Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an interface plate for a downhill ski safety binding according to the preamble of claim 1. Such a plate is known for example from document EP-A-0 353 567
Many types of alpine ski safety bindings are known and, in particular, front binding elements, which comprise a base by which the binding element is assembled to the ski. Many of these fasteners are made of plastic or at least have a base made of plastic.
It then happens that, when the binding is assembled on the ski, a day forms between the upper surface of the ski and the base of the binding. Beige or dirt can seep into this area and disturb the functioning of the binding.
There are certain interface plates whose main purpose is to hold the assembly screws in place in their orifice in the base until they are tightened in the ski. Such pads, however, play no sealing role between the base and the upper surface of the ski.
One of the aims of the present invention is to propose an interface plate which ensures a good seal between the base of the binding and the ski.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an interface plate whose assembly to the fixing can be carried out in a very simple manner in the factory.
Another object of the present invention is to propose an interface plate which moreover maintains the assembly screws of the binding in their orifice of the base until the binding is assembled on the ski.
Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the description which follows.
The interface plate according to the invention is characterized in that the lateral parts are inclined substantially downwards towards the outside in such a way that, when the base is assembled on the ski, the plate being pinched between the base of the binding and the ski, the lateral parts straighten horizontally thus forcing the edges to be pressed along the lateral edges of the base.
The invention will be better understood by referring to the description below, as well as to the accompanying drawings which form an integral part thereof.
Figure 1 shows in perspective an interface plate according to a first implementation of the invention.
Figures 3, 4, and 5 illustrate the mode of use of the wafer in manufacture and during the assembly of the binding on the ski.
Figure 6 shows in perspective an alternative embodiment of the interface plate according to the invention.
Preferably, the plate is made of an elastically deformable plastic material, for example polypropylene or else polyamide loaded with fibers. However, any elastically deformable material could also be suitable.
On part of its periphery, the plate 1 has a
Les rebords 3 sont raccordés aux parties latérales 5.The bottom of the plate has a median zone which is here constituted by a
The borders between the
According to the invention, the
Preferably, the angle of inclination between the upper face of the
Good results have been obtained with an angle of approximately 10 degrees between the
According to a preferred embodiment, the plate 1 present in the area of the assembly screws of the ski base of the
Thus, it is possible, in manufacturing, to retain the plate under the base by means of the screws, and on the other hand to maintain the assembly screws in their orifice by means of the plate.
Figures 3 and 4 illustrate this function of the wafer. As has been said previously, the inner faces of the
This is how the binding is conditioned, until it is assembled on the ski. Figure 5 illustrates this assembly, and as has been said previously, the tightening of the
Naturally, the present description is not limiting, and other variants are possible. In particular, depending on the areas where it is desired that the flange be pressed against the base, the lateral parts of the wafer could be produced in a different manner, for example in a segmented manner.
