INJECTION TUBE DEVICE FOR CONTAINER CLEANING MACHINES.
The present invention relates to an injection device for machines for cleaning containers into which injection tubes are inserted. As the baskets carrying the containers are moved step by step, the injection tubes are only introduced while the baskets are stopped while, during their advancement, they remain in the rest position below these baskets. In known cleaning machines, a special clutch mechanism is used to achieve downtime; this however complicates the construction of the machine quite well.
In addition, the injection tubes must be provided with a device making it possible, before their introduction into the baskets or the containers, to center them above them.
The invention makes it possible to eliminate the special clutch mechanism for controlling the injection tubes and consists in that the already existing clutch device for the advancement of the container baskets, at the same time controls the movement of the injection tubes. injection to be introduced. To guide the latter, we then use a fixed guide and not a guide device preceding the injection tubes. A special centering device ensuring in a known manner the centering of all the baskets of the upper passage of the machine, at the same time centers those which are above the injection system, so that an additional centering device does not is not necessary.

Fig. 1 shows the front part of a bottle cleaning machine. The pair of wheels 12 mounted inside the machine is actuated periodically by a mechanism, not shown, which engages the toothed wheel 11 mounted on the outside. When the wheel 12 stops, the bottle basket 13 is unloaded at E from the cleaned bottle and loaded at F with a dirty bottle, after which the wheel continues to rotate until the next stop, where takes place. a new unloading and loading operation. The toothed wheel 11 drives another toothed wheel 14, which rotates while the wheel 12 is rotating, and stops with the latter.
The wheel 14 comprises a crank pin 15 causing an up-and-down movement of a slide 19, at the same periodic rate as the wheel 11, and this by means of a connecting rod 16, a lever 17 and a coupling rod 18. The bottle baskets 13 are also ordered periodically inside the machine. The movement of the slider 19 relative to the baskets is adjusted so that the slider 19 is stopped in the lowest position when the baskets are in motion, and that it performs an up-and-down movement when the baskets are moved. are stationary. During this stop of the baskets, a centering comb 21, (Fig. 3) descends on the appendages 20 of the baskets, towards the wheel 12, thus centering exactly the whole series of baskets located above an injection system. with nozzles, not shown.
The centering comb 21 rises during the next movement of the baskets (Fig. 4). The movements of the wheel 11 and of the centering comb 21, necessary for the general operation of the cleaning machine, are used to actuate an injection system mounted in the cleaning part of the machine and comprising penetrating injection tubes. in the bottles.
The slide 19 carries by means of a tab 22 a support 23 for the injection tubes 24. The latter engage in a fixed guide 25 thus ensuring their position with respect to the flared openings of the bottle baskets. A pipe 26 conducts the injection water to the tubes. The slide 19 moves on the rod 28 held in the bearing surfaces 27. The bottle baskets 13 run on a rail 30 using their rollers 29. When the preliminary movement of the bottle baskets 13 (Fig. 4) is completed , the centering comb 21 descends on the appendages 20 of the baskets and centers them above the injection tubes held in the guide 25. At this moment, the travel of the slide 19 begins.
The injection tubes are introduced through the flared opening of the baskets into the bottles 31, as shown in FIG. 3, spray the inside of the bottles and go back down to the rest position. During this rest, the centering comb 21 rises and the bottle baskets advance by one step, after which the introduction of the tubes begins again. As can be seen in Fig. 2, the coupling rod 18 is provided with a safety device operating when an injection tube cannot enter a bottle, the latter for example being closed. The coupling rod is divided into an upper part 18 comprising the housing 32, and a lower part 33 comprising an edge 34.
The spring 35 pushes this edge against the coupling rod 18 and thus connects the rods 18 and 33 so as to form an elastic telescopic element. The housing 32 is provided with an electric switch 36 whose push buttons are held in contact position by the stop 37. If an injection tube cannot enter a bottle, the resistance thus produced causes telescope.

the coupling oielle by compressing the spring 35.
As a result, the stop 37 moves away from the switch 36, cuts off the electrical contact and stops the control of the machine. The latter will not restart until the obstacle has been removed. The electrical switch can also be mounted in another part of the control linkage, for example in part 16. The connecting rod 28 and the slide 19 are located outside the machine in an accessible place. For this purpose, the wall of the machine has an opening in the form of a slot.
This prevents the raising-and-lowering device either. damaged, for example by broken bottles.
