PERFECTIONNEMENTS AUX MECANISMES DE LEVEE POUR MACHINES A FILER, MOULINER
ETTRETORDRE A ANNEAUX

IMPROVEMENTS IN LIFTING MECHANISMS FOR SPINNING AND MILLING MACHINES
TWIST WITH RINGS
The object of the present invention is to provide a ring-spinning, milling or twisting machine with an improved device for removing or carrying out the lifting of the windings of yarn, of the spindles at the end of the operation. spinning, that is to say when a winding is completed this device being able to reapply when the up-and-down movement between the pins and the rings, necessary for the formation of the windings is obtained either by raising and lowering the blade of the pins with respect to a fixed ring bar, either by animating the ring blade with a similar movement relative to the fixed pin blade, or by a combined movement of these two elements in opposite directions.
A ring spinning, doubling or twisting machine comprises, according to the invention, for each spindle a carrier element detachably mounted on the spindle and forming a support for the yarn which is wound up therein, this element being capable of axial movements with respect to the spindle a device in or on this carrier element to stop the yarn or yarn at the base of the winding and tension it when the movable element of the assembly has reached the lifting position a device for cutting the thread or stretched yarn $) and an interception device to retain the carrier element at the time of separation of the spindle and the ring, so as to support the winding of thread with the possibility of lifting.
Another feature of the invention is the arrangement which ensures the execution of the thread trimming operation at the same time as the separation of the spindle and the panel. The tensioned thread being retained and cut between the wire. carrier element and a cutting edge placed on the spindle of the spindle itself.
The carrier element may be provided for this purpose with a lateral slot extending to its inner surface at a point corresponding to the ridge.

thus allowing the lifting of the winding.
The carrier member preferably provides a seat for the base of the bobbin or the like spool on which the thread is wound around the spindle, this seat being made such that the winding has a tendency to tilt sideways during the spindle. removal of the spindle, the lateral support provided by the latter failing.

The invention can be applied to ring continuums in which the up-and-down movement between the spindle and the ring, necessary for the formation of the winding, is obtained by raising and lowering the bar of the spindle relative to the fixed bar of the ring, or by giving a similar movement to the bar of the ring relative to the fixed bar of the spindle, or by

a combined movement of these two bars; in the case described it is the bar of the spindle which performs the up-and-down movement and the bar of the ring which remains fixed.
EMI3.2
An element 119 (hereinafter referred to as = winding support) is removably mounted on the spindle of the spindle 1 resting on the shoulder 10 above the upper flange of the nut 4. This element comprises a cylindrical body pierced with an axial hole and hollowed out at its upper part

a deep external V-groove 12 bordered by a flared rim 13 in which is cut a notch 14. The lower surface of this V-groove 12 supports a stop device consisting of a short leaf spring 15 terminating in a raised end 16. Put, the base of the groove 12 is a narrow side slot 17 extending to the central hole of the body of the winding support.
This support also forms with the flared rim 13 a seat 18 for the base of the spool, bobbin or similar tube on which the thread is to be wound, the turn of thread situated lowest on this spool being immersed.

diatement above the edge Do The winding support 11 fits freely on the spindle of the spindle and is capable of axial movements relative to the latter; it can be made of plastic, an alloy of light metals or other suitable light material.
EMI3.5
The ring band 7 is undercut under the ring 6 so as to form a cavity 15 capable of receiving the flange 20 of the winding support 11 when the spindle is raised to the raised position and the entire winding 1.9. goes over the ring.
Two parallel intercepting plates 21 and 22 slide at the lower part of the ring bar 7; longitudinal slots 23 in these plates cooperate with tenons 24 placed in the bar 7 to guide the movement of the plates, the weight of the latter resting on the heads of the tenons. The two plates 21, 22 are arranged so as to exert their action on several spinning groups and can slide longitudinally at the desired time under the effect of a mechanical device connected to a.
EMI3.6
fork 25 attached to the end of the plates and acting in synchronism with the winding and leve9s mechanism.
The plates 21 and 22 are provided with lateral extensions 26 directed towards the interior of each group of spinners.
Each pin is provided with a peripheral groove 27 at a point
EMI3.7
corresponding to the slot 17 of the coil holder 11, and the upper edge of this groove is sharpened so as to form a blade for cutting the thread as described below.
EMI3.8
The lift is performed as follows:
We know that in a ring spinning machine the thread passing
EMI3.9
by the cursor between the drawing rolls and the spindle rotates the cursor around the ring by turning the b: L ",; 130 The cursor rotates at a slower speed than that of the spindle and thus winds the wire on the entire height of the spool, the variations in cursor speed depending on the
EMI3.10
flow speed of the stretching cylinders When the reel is full the bar of spindle 3 is raised to the lifting position (figo 4) and the wire is retained by 1-lancoche 14, guided in the V-slot 12, driven in secant by the slot 17, and stopped and tensioned by the raised edge of the spring 15.
The interception plates 21, 22 then pass from the position
EMI3.11
of non-operation of FIG. 5 to the position of the fridge 7.in which the lateral extensions 26 of its plates are located below the brick 20 of the winding support Ho The spindle is then withdrawn and the wire in the slot 17 is cut by the cutting edge of the groove 27 of the descending pin.
Intercepting plates 21, 22 retain the winding support and the spool or the like tube therein, thus allowing automatic lifting of the winding as soon as the lateral support provided by the spindle fails.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
If desired, the lifting operation can be positively caused by lateral displacement, by outward sweeping motion of the separation plates generally placed between the spinning groups, as in FIG. 9.
For this purpose, adjacent pairs of these plates 28 may be joined behind each pin location by a U-piece which, when plates are moved outwardly by the slider.
