La présente invention a pour objet un appareil pour hacher le tabac et matières similaires, lequel peut fonctionner à la main ou au moteur. main L'appareil comprend un volant qui peut faire office de poulie et qui comporte une manivelle pour être entraînée à la main, ce volant comportant un nombre variable de rayons équipés de lames coupantes réglables qui produisent une action coupante sur la masse de tabac qui prpgresse dans le bâti de la maohine sous l'action de deux rouleaux d'entraînement qui sont commandés par l'axe même du volant. Ces rouleaux exercent une compres- sion du tabac ou autre matière pendant son avancement vers une fente de débit située dans le plan de passage des lames coupantes.
Le cercle du volant est déporté vers l'intérieur de l'appareil pour éviter que le tabac coupé ne tombe sur le volant.
Une forme de réalisation de l'appareil selon l'invention sera décrite ci-après avec référence au dessin annexé.
La figure 1 est une élévation de face et la figure 2 une élévation latérale.
La figure 3 est une coupe verticale à travers l'appareil.
Un bâti 1 supporte latéralement un volant 8 monté sur l'axe 3 tournant dans des paliers solidaires du bâti. Le volant comporte trois bras radiaux 4 qui portent chacun une lame coupante 5 réglable et fixée au moyen de vis à métaux. Le volant 2 sert de poulie pour la courroie lorsque l'appareil est actionné au moteur. il comporte cependant une poignée 6 pour être entraîné à la main. Du côté supérieur une auge inclinée 7 re- çoit la matière à couper. Le volant 2 est déporté vers l'intérieur de l'appareil pour éviter que le tabac coupé ne tombe sur la couronne périphérique du volant.
En regard.de l'auge 7 se trouvent montées dans le bâti les plaques 8 et 9 dont lesbords antérieurs délimitent une fente 10 située dans le plan des lames ooupantes 5 et par cette tentée' passe le tabac oomprimé et avançé par les rouleaux 18 et 19. Le bâti comporte un pied 20 au moyen duquel on peut fixer un appareil sur un supporta approprié à l'aide de la vis de pression 11. Les rouleaux 18 et 19 sont commandés à partir de l'axe 3 du volant qui porte une vis sans fin 16 qui entraine la roue hélicoïdale 21.
L'axe de cette roue intérieure traverse le rouleau-18 et porte à l'autre extrémité un pignon 12 qui commande un engrenage 13 monté à l'extrémité de l'axe-au rouleau 19. Cet axe porte en outre un engrenage 13 qui entraine un engrenage de même diamètre 14 fixé'à l'extremité du rouleau 18. Le rouleau 18 tourne donc-librement par rapport à l'axe qui porte les engrenages 12 et 21. La coupe se fait donc en rapport avec la progression de la masse de tabac comprimée et entraînée par les rouleaux 18 et 19. Les engrenages 12 et 16. sont interchangeables. afin de

REVENDICATIONS.
1.) Appareil pour hacher le tabc ou matières sinilaires, caractérisé par le fait que les couteaux coupants sont montés sur les rayons d'un volant qui peut constituer poulie pour 1' entraînement par moteur et qui comporte une poine pour l'entraînement à la main.

A frame 1 laterally supports a flywheel 8 mounted on the axis 3 rotating in bearings integral with the frame. The flywheel comprises three radial arms 4 which each carry an adjustable cutting blade 5 fixed by means of machine screws. The flywheel 2 serves as a pulley for the belt when the device is powered by the engine. however, it has a handle 6 to be driven by hand. On the upper side an inclined trough 7 receives the material to be cut. The flywheel 2 is offset towards the inside of the device to prevent the cut tobacco from falling on the peripheral crown of the flywheel.
Opposite the trough 7 are mounted in the frame the plates 8 and 9 whose front edges delimit a slot 10 located in the plane of the cutting blades 5 and through this attempt 'passes the compressed tobacco and advanced by the rollers 18 and 19. The frame comprises a foot 20 by means of which an apparatus can be fixed on a suitable supporta using the pressure screw 11. The rollers 18 and 19 are controlled from the axis 3 of the handwheel which carries a endless screw 16 which drives the helical wheel 21.
The axis of this inner wheel passes through the roller-18 and carries at the other end a pinion 12 which controls a gear 13 mounted at the end of the axis-to the roller 19. This axis also carries a gear 13 which drives a gear of the same diameter 14 fixed to the end of the roller 18. The roller 18 therefore rotates freely with respect to the axis which carries the gears 12 and 21. The cut is therefore made in relation to the progress of the mass of tobacco compressed and driven by rollers 18 and 19. Gears 12 and 16. are interchangeable. in order to
