<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Gas or electric stove
Gas or electric cookers comprise, in the usual construction, a coherent cooker body. The walls limiting the oven to be baked or roasted are therefore rigidly connected to the outer casing walls, located at a certain distance * The metal assembly members, necessary in several places between the inner and outer walls lead a quantity of relatively large heat from the heated interior walls to the exterior walls. The outer walls therefore radiate part of the heat generated towards the ambient air and thus lower the efficiency of the heating device.
In addition, the outer casing walls, which also serve as a support, must be made of relatively strong sheets.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
.and must, because of the strong heating., be protected by a surface coating, generally enamel.
The invention consists in that, contrary to known constructions, the interior -only of the cooker constitutes a coherent body and is suspended, removably, in a support frame to which the outer casing walls are. also removably attached. In this way, the metallic assembly members, hitherto essential, between the heated interior walls and the exterior walls are completely eliminated. The thermal insulation provided by the air between the interior and exterior walls is therefore not annihilated by the metal members used for 1-1, assembly of the walls, so that the heat supplied by the heater can be used. - read with a good yield.
In addition, as the outer casing walls should no longer be used to support the oven, they can be made of thin and inexpensive sheets. Owing to their low heating, it is possible to be content with protecting the surface of the outer walls by a simple and inexpensive coating, for example a simple coat of paint or varnish.
Some exemplary embodiments of the invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which
Fig. 1 is a front view of a gas cooker according to the invention, the front wall being removed and the interior body shown in section.
Fig. 2 shows, in perspective, the support frame.
Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the inner body according to FIG. 1, and Fig. 4 is a view, similar to FIG. 1, a gas stove, with a larger inner body.
The cooker according to Figs. 1 to 3 consists essentially of a frame 1 which carries at its top a frame 2 in
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
U shape open to the front. The interior body 3 of the cooker comprises the baking or roasting oven to the upper lateral edges of which are fixed sheets 4 inclined outward @ and carrying at the upper edge horizontal slats 5. These suspension sheets 4 can be adapted to serve to collect food which has escaped at the boiling point and, for this purpose, one can, for example, provide the sheets 4, at their lower end, with curved parts intended to receive a collec - tor.
The inner body 3 slides from the front into the frame 1, the side slats 5 resting on the lower wings of the side branches of the U-shaped frame 2. The inner body being in place, it is useful to assemble, at the by means of screws or other fasteners, the side slats 5 to the adjacent flanges of the irons U of the frame 2. The outer casing walls 6 are suspended from the frame 1 as shown in FIG. 1. The plate 7 of the cooker rests on the frame 1 to which it is fixed in any suitable way, not shown, to prevent it from slipping.
In the example of execution according to FIG. 4, the organs corresponding to those of the previous example are designated by the reference numerals. Unlike the example following Figs. 1 to 3, the cooker according to Fig. 4 has a longer inner body 8 which essentially consists of a baking or roasting oven topped with a reheating oven. The inner body 8 may include, at its lower end, angles 9 which bear on a lower frame of the chassis 1, to which they are removably attached.
The interior body of the cooker can obviously be placed in the frame in a manner other than that shown in the drawing. Thus, for example, the inner body 3 or 8 could be suspended in the frame from above. In this case, the upper frame of the chassis could be closed and consist of angles.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
Furthermore, it is irrelevant for the construction according to the invention, whether the stove is heated by gas or by electricity.
CLAIMS 1. - Gas or electric cooker, characterized in that the interior of the cooker constitutes a coherent body and is suspended, removably, in a support frame to which the outer casing walls are also fixed. removable way.
