La figure 1 indique l'appareil lorsqu'il est au repos;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Flush device for sanitary installations.
The present invention relates to a flushing apparatus for sanitary installations and the like in which use is made of a water tank, a fixed siphoning bell and a discharge tube located at inside of it.
Its main object is to preserve these apparatuses against the harmful effects of frost, which particularly designates the apparatus, object of the invention, to be used in places which are exposed to the rigors of winter.
With a view to achieving this aim, the apparatus which is the subject of the invention is characterized essentially in that a traction on the operating chain determines the movement of a member allowing the entry of water which. fills the tank and which is evacuated when the overflow inflow has primed the siphon. The traction exerted on the chain has the effect of raising a lever to which a float is attached and which carries a screw or other member which then releases the pressure which it exerts on a sealing piston, thus allowing water -to push it back and fill it

tank.
The lifting of the float lever is generally produced by means of: a special undeformable part (it can oscillate around an axis and it acts on the float lever by means of a corbel cooperating with a notch i stop this lever.
The accompanying drawings show one embodiment of the invention.
Figures 1, 2 and 3 respectively show all of the elements forming part of the apparatus in three different positions.
In these drawings, 1. designates the water tank, 2 the siphoning bell inside which the tube is located: the discharge 3,4 the water supply tube to which a connector 5 is connected. has an opening 6 opening downwards. This connector 5 is furthermore provided with a projection 7 provided with an axis or pivot 8 around which a lever 9 can oscillate to which is fixed by means of the one rod 10 a float 11. The lever 9 has a projection 12 traversed by a screw 13 with an adjustable position, the head 14 of which rests in the rest position against a piston with rubber pad 15 capable of closing off the outlet orifice of the tube 4.
On the upper part: the bell: the siphoning 2 is a support 16 for a non-deformable part 17 which can pivot around an axis 171 and which comprises a corbel 18, a counterweight 19 and a stop 20. On a projection 21 of the corbel 18 is further articulated by a rod 22 subjected to the action: the the pull tab 23 by means of a square lever 24 which oscillates around: the one axis 25 extending in a projection 26 of the reservoir 1. The lever 9 comprises a lug forming a stopper 27, the role of which will be explained below.
The device thus constructed works: the as follows:
FIG. 1 indicates the apparatus when it is at rest;
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
in this position, the tank or reservoir 1 is empty. In this position, the piston with rubber pad 15 blocks the water inlet and is applied against the orifice of the pipe 4 by means of the screw 13 which exerts pressure on the end of this piston. The necessary pressure is obtained by the action of the weight of the float 11.
When traction is exerted on the chain 23, the point of attachment of this chain descends from level X to level Y, the angled lever 24 pivots and the indeformable part 17 turns around the axis 171. This This movement has the effect of bringing the tip of the corbel 18 against the lower part of the rod 9, lifting the latter and engaging the stopper 27 which the latter carries. On the other hand, the stop 33 has struck a fixed buffer 28, which prevents the continuation of the -motion. By this same maneuver, the adjustment screw 13 acting on the piston 15 and controlling the water inlet has also moved from left to right. The water pressure is sufficient to force the piston 15 to hold it against the adjusting screw 13 and thus free the water inlet 3 '.
The water then fills the tank 1 and when its level has reached the float 11 which has a density lower than that of the water, the latter floats on the surface of the water as shown in FIG. 3. The water level continuing to rise, pdr following its attachment to the lever 9, the float 11 also determines the lifting of the latter and of the lever 9 so that the stopper 27 releases the corbel 18. By following the traction exerted by the counterweight 11, the special part 17 falls back by itself in its original position shown in Figure 1, by driving the rod 22, the square 24 and the chain 23 whose attachment point goes up from Y to X.
The water level continues to rise in tank 1 and very quickly reaches the opening of the discharge tube.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
placed inside the siphoning bell 2. Water overflows in the tube and initiates the siphoning system whereby the tank empties completely. During the discharge the level drops immediately in the tank and drives the float 11. It also now resumes by its own weight its first position shown in figure 1m in which it closes the water inlet via : the rod 9 and the screw 13.
