Les fig. 1 et 2 montrent, respectivement, des coupes schématiques, en élévation, de la première et de la deuxième forme d'exécu tion.
Dans les deux formes d'exécution, 1 dé signe le réservoir de l'appareil de chasse, 2 le flotteur réglant l'admission d'eau dans le réservoir, 3 le tuyau d'écoulement, 4 la cloche, 5 le levier actionnant la cloche et dont l'autre extrémité libre est réunie à une chaînette de tirage, non représentée. L'extrémité supérieure du tuyau 3 com porte un entonnoir 8 destiné à faciliter l'in troduction de l'eau dans le tuyau.
Le fonctionnement de l'appareil de chasse est le suivant: La cloche plongeant, dans une certaine mesure, dans l'eau du réservoir, les clapets 7, 7' ont laissé passer l'eau à l'intérieur de ladite cloche.
