<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
Lorsque le vibrateur 0 a atteint sa position 'avant extrême, la corde E agit sur la légère tige d'acier qui relie le vibrateur au levier de déclanchement B et ,, soulève le poids W qui;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

"Improvements in ribbon and narrow fabric looms"
The present invention, which relates to ribbon looms and narrow fabric looms, relates more particularly to the improvements made to the chain unwinding mechanism.
The object of the invention is to obtain an unwinding of the warp wire that is uniform and more regular than that obtained / by the customary method which causes heavy 'weights to rise and fall, working in conjunction with the upper castles.
In the present invention, the chain unwinding mechanism is automatically adjusted by the output of the fabricated fabric and is operated by it.

movement of the trade crowd.
The invention is illustrated by the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a side view of a tape machine which is constructed in accordance with the invention.
Figure 2 is a front view showing three heads of a loom constructed in accordance with the present invention.
The spools A on which the chain is wound are fixed to the frame of the Trade in the usual way and a rope has passed around the hub of the spool. One end of this rope a is fixed to a setting screw a1 while the other end is fixed to a lever B. The latter is, in turn, fixed at b on the frame of the loom with a pivot and is subjected at the tension of a slight spring B1 The lever B serves as a release lever and functions in the same way as the release lever of an ordinary band loom.
Behind each of the stringers for forming the shed D is, at an appropriate distance, a vibrator C which carries at its upper part a bar c which is level with the central line d of the shed; at its lower end each vibrator is fixed by a pivot on a bar c1 and is retained by a spring c2 which is fixed at one of its ends to the frame of the loom using an adjusting screw d3
The vibrator 0 is connected by 1'intemédiare 'of a cordd E to a weight w provided with a rod coulter wl, which can slide in a mortise made in the release lever B; the rope engages on pulleys e, e1
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The vibrator can also be connected directly to the weight by a light steel rod.
The warp yarn coming from the coil A passes over the bars f1 and f2 as well as on the terminal c1 located at the base of the vibrator, then it passes around the bar 0 which is at the top of the vibrator and which is level with the 'center line of the crowd.
. The mechanism is operated as follows:
The warp yarn after having passed around the bars il and f2 is led from the bar c1 to the one ± which is / at the top of the vibrator, then it arrives at the beams d of the loom.
The fact of separating the chains to form the shed causes a slight forward movement of the top of the vibrator 0 which, once 'the shed is firm' resumes its normal position thanks to the spring c2 the weight w and the spring B1 controlling the release lever B
When the loom is running, the output of the fabric produced tends to pull forward the vibrator C The advance to which the vibrator can be subjected is limited by the adjusting screw d3 to which the spring c2 is attached
When the vibrator 0 has reached its extreme front position, the cord E acts on the light steel rod which connects the vibrator to the release lever B and lifts the weight W which;
in turn, raises the lever B so that the coil A can rotate freely, At this time the vibrator 0 can unwind the unchained wire.
But as the vibrator comes forward that when the "crowd" of chains is opened, it follows that the release / of the wire
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
chain is done intermittently, because, when the shed is closing, the triggering ceases, since the vibrator returns under the action of the spring c 2 foolishly that it only takes place at a time a minimal fraction of wire.
The adjustment screw a1 which is attached to each!.,; of the strings a of the release lever B is intended to facilitate the installation of the vibrators C
The chain unwinding mechanism is therefore actuated by the movement of the vibrators 0 which regulates the output of the chain wire by activating and controlling the release levers B as well as the direct connection with and between the vibrators and the release levers, provoking by this. even the shedding and fabric formation which regulates the arrival of the yarn without the aid of heavy lifting and lowering weights, and removing ratchets, tooth systems and upper castles.
The springs c2 which act on the vibrators C are more powerful than the springs B 1 of the release levers B, so that they can easily override the latter when the coil A is released and the vibrators tend to unwind the chain.
The present invention is not limited to the method of passing the warp thread under the bar serving as a fulcrum for the vibrators, but it goes without saying that the thread can be brought in any way, provided that it finally passes over or under the top of the vibrators before reaching the beams of the trade.
Nothing in the present invention limits the respective positions of the vibrators, of the training smoothers.

of the. crowd and release levers.
