Description

The present invention relates to a device for moving warp threads, usable on weaving looms or similar textile machines.

It is known to technicians in the sector that, in weaving machines which work in a traditional manner, the displacement of the warp threads, to allow the passage of the weft thread and the successive interweaving of weaving, is carried out by means of a system. with healds in the closed eyelets from which the warp threads pass.

The insertion of the warp threads, coming from the beam on which the threads are wound, in the eyelets of the heddles and the displacement of the latter, depending on the interlacing of the fabric to be obtained, require rather long times and limit the interleaving capacity of the weaving machine.

Also known from patent DE-B-1024897 which served as a basis for the preamble of claim 1, a device for the formation of the warp opening on mechanical looms, in which the warp threads are moved vertically, relative to the surface of the chain, between two end positions, by heddles with eyelet open upwards. This device cannot lower the warp threads below the weaving plane.

The device of the present invention as defined in the claims aims to eliminate these drawbacks and sets the following objectives: to use the warp, not only according to the traditional system with beam, even arranged wire by wire directly on the weaving machine or the like , following unconventional weaving methods; simplify and reduce the preparation time of the weaving loom, by automating the tuck-in operations warp threads in the different heddles and to increase, compared to the frame and heald systems, the flexibility of use and the interweaving capacity of the weaving machine.

These results were achieved in accordance with the invention by producing a device comprising the features of claim 1.

The advantages obtained by virtue of the present invention essentially consist in the fact that it is possible to insert the warp thread into the open eyelet of the boom in a safe and reliable manner, with considerable time savings compared to the traditional retraction system in beams with closed eyelet, grouped in frames; that it is possible to work as well with warp threads gathered on the beam according to the traditional weaving system, as with a warp placed directly on the weaving machine or the like, according to unconventional methods; it is possible to move the beams so as to close the eyelet and make them take up a working position simultaneously; that the small dimensions of the guide-smooth assembly, its supports and the flexibility of their control parts allow use even with chains with high wire density.

  • plusieurs lisses 1 à oeillet ouvert, indépendantes les unes des autres, libres à leur extrémité supérieure et coulissantes verticalement dans un guide correspondant 2, logé dans un élément de support 3;
  • plusieurs monofils rigides 5, chacun relié à la lisse respective 1, coulissants à l'intérieur d'une gaine 6, flexible et raccordée à l'élément de support 3 au moyen d'un bloc de connexion 4;
  • plusieurs mors 10, chacun avec une extrémité à fixer au monofil 5 respectif et passant dans une douille correspondante 9 qui est maintenue en traction par un ressort 8, de manière à remplir la fonction supplémentaire de rappel du monofil 5 et donc de la lisse correspondante 1;
With reference to FIG. 1 of the accompanying drawings, a device for moving the warp threads 15, in accordance with the invention, comprises:
  • several healds 1 with an open eyelet, independent of each other, free at their upper end and sliding vertically in a corresponding guide 2, housed in a support element 3;
  • several rigid monofilaments 5, each connected to the respective beam 1, sliding inside a sheath 6, flexible and connected to the support element 3 by means of a connection block 4;
  • several jaws 10, each with one end to be fixed to the respective monofilament 5 and passing through a corresponding socket 9 which is held in tension by a spring 8, so as to fulfill the additional function of return of the monofilament 5 and therefore of the corresponding heald 1 ;
  • means for actuating the jaws 10, shown indicatively in FIG. 1 by the displacement arrows F.

Alternatively, in place of the above-mentioned monofilaments 5, it is provided in accordance with the invention and with reference to FIG. 9 of the accompanying drawings of using several rods 50 in steel blade.
Each blade 1 is fixed to the corresponding rod 50 by means of a dovetail fixing 51.
An organ 52, slaved to an alternating movement according to arrow F, transmits, on command of the step forming member, the movement to the rod 50 by means of a tooth 53 which is engaged in a corresponding slot formed in the rod itself.

In Figs. 5A-5B-5C of the appended drawings are shown a few nonlimiting examples of embodiments of the heald 1, which is obtained from a ribbon or a small sheet of thin steel, which makes it flexible and elastic, and has an open eyelet which can have different shapes and dimensions and with the back, which forms the closed part of the eyelet, offset laterally relative to the plane of the heddle so as to allow the passage of a thread 15 without that the latter does not undergo deviations from its axis.

Avantageusement, conformément à l'invention, la tête 20 des guides, qui possède une section en forme de C écrasé, présente un biseautage de sens opposé dans les deux ailes et la pointe de l'aile qui dépasse est coupée transversalement de manière à éviter un éventuel blocage ou déchirure du fil 15 lorsque celui-ci est tiré vers le bas par la lisse 1.Advantageously, according to the invention, the head 20 of the guides, which has a crushed C-shaped section, has beveling in opposite directions in the two wings and the point of the projecting wing is cut transversely so as to avoid possible blockage or tearing of the wire 15 when the latter is pulled down by the heald 1.

In addition, said jaw 10 sliding inside the sleeve 9 has its free end 101 of frustoconical shape and made elastic by diametric millings 102 so as to make a fixed but removable connection of the monofilament which passes inside, under the effect of forcing the bit in the corresponding conical seat 91 of the sleeve 9. The rapid locking without mechanical tools of the monofilament 5 relative to the jaw 10, allows the adjustment of the lifting position of the heald 1 and of the force with which the spring 8 recalls the heald in the predetermined lifting position.

The operation is as follows. The rigid control monofilament 5, released by the member intended for the formation of the pitch and connected to it (jacquard, dobby, blade device, etc.), slides the heald 1 inside the corresponding guide 2 placing it in the lifting position (FIG. 2A) with the eyelet open, and therefore ready to receive a warp thread 15.
When the wire has been introduced into the eyelet, the heald 1 is brought back down by the effect of the traction exerted by the step-forming member and the yarn 15 is blocked in the eyelet of the heald which closes against guide 2.
The heald 1 with the wire introduced into its eyelet can now be subjected to an alternative movement of raising and lowering, according to the commands provided by the step forming member, by placing itself in a working position with a corresponding stroke in part or totally to the length of guide 2 (Fig. 2B or 2C).
Guide 2, rigid and fixed, is produced by bending in a C shape or by milling a steel blade and fulfills the following functions: guiding the rigid monofilament 5 for driving the heald 1 during its round trip; maintain the boom 1 in a rigid position, when the latter is in the maximum lifting position (FIG. 2A); close the eyelet of the arm 1, thus allowing the movement of the wire 15 which passes through the eyelet in the working positions at different heights (Fig. 2B and 2C).
