wobei dann die Bewegung der Öldosierungsnadel 2 auf eine ähnliche Weise wie bei dem beschriebenen Ausführungsbeispiel auf die Dampfdosierungsnadel 1 übertragen werden kann. Auf mechanischem Wege kann die automatische Regulierung beispielsweise auf die Weise durchgeführt werden, dass ein Ausdehnungskörper oder eine Membran durch die Temperatur oder den Druck des zu beheizenden Kessels betätigt und die Bewegung dieses druck-oder temperaturempfindlichen Organs, z. Durch das die Öldosierungsnadel steuernde Mittel kann auch die beschriebene Spenvorrichtung für den die Ventile A, B und C betätigenden Hebel 14 betätigt werden, indem der Sperrhebel. ? durch eine Abzweigung des hydraulischen Gestänges bei Eintreten eines gefährlichen Betriebszustandes aus der Offen-in die Schliessstellung bewegt wird ;

Burners for furnaces operated with liquid fuel atomized by steam.
The invention relates to a burner for furnaces operated with liquid, vapor-atomized fuel, which is controlled as a function of the attainment of a specific vapor pressure. With furnaces of this type, the respective amount of atomization steam, fuel and combustion air as well as the feed water must be regulated depending on the performance of the furnace, which requires a complicated interaction of the valves, so that the desired dependency relationships in the control of the individual valves and so that the desired regulation of the combustion depending on the intended heating effect cannot always be adhered to with certainty.
According to the invention, these disadvantages are now largely avoided in that the shut-off devices for the atomizing steam and the water dispensing device connected upstream of the oil control valve and the steam control valve connected to it for joint actuation by means of a lever or the like for joint actuation.

In order to prevent the valves from opening if the boiler supplying the atomizing steam does not have the appropriate steam pressure, the actuator 14 according to the invention is subject to the action of a locking device, which holds it in the closed position and only works automatically when a certain steam pressure is reached in the boiler releases. In the exemplary embodiment shown, this device consists of a housing 2ss which is connected by a line 19 to the steam space of the boiler supplying the atomizing steam and in which

The bolt 21 is under the action of a spring which holds it in the illustrated closed position, in which its free end rests against a stop 22 'of the locking lever 22 hinged at 24 and provided with a button 25, which is held in the horizontal position by its own weight . A piston 27 rests against the other end of the bolt 21 by means of a resilient body 26. The lever 22 is with a lateral

can.
As soon as there is a corresponding steam pressure in the line 19, the piston 27 is moved to the right by the steam pressure against the action of the spring 2, 3, the free end of the bolt 21 strikes the stop 22 'and pivots the lever 22 upwards until the lug 30 of the extension 28 on the right side of the slot. 31 of the extension 14 'is applied. The lever 14 can now be raised, whereupon the lug 30 latches and holds the lever 14 in the furnace position. By lifting the lever 14, the steam valve J., the oil valve B and the water valve C are opened in the manner described and kept open as long as the lever 14 is in the raised position.
If the pressure in the line 19 ceases or if it falls below a certain level, the spring 2, 3 comes into effect again, the bolt 21 returns to its original position, the
EMI2.4
return to the closed position under the action of the valve springs.
Instead of the interacting extensions 28 and 74 ', a link connecting the levers 14 and 22 to one another can also be used, as is indicated in FIG. 1 with dashed lines. 32 can be provided, by means of which the lever 14 is inevitably entrained when the lever 22 is pivoted.
The joint actuation of the steam valve, the oil valve and the water valve according to the invention makes it possible to move these valves into the closed position at the same time when a dangerous operating state is reached. For this purpose, a device is made on the locking device described by which it is automatically brought into the locking position when such an operating state is reached and thereby closes all valves. The piston 27 of the locking device is during operation on the left side under the steam pressure and on the right side under atmospheric pressure.
In order to move the valves into the closed position in a dangerous operating state, it is therefore only necessary that a pressure equalization is brought about on both sides of the piston 27 at the critical point in time. This is done in such a way that a branch 33 is connected to the space to the right of the piston 27, in which a shut-off element is installed, which when a certain temperature or a certain temperature is exceeded

Pressure equalization on both sides of the piston 27, the spring 23 comes into effect again, and all valves are simultaneously transferred into the closed position in the manner described.
The dosage of the amount of oil, d. H. The adjustment of the regulating mandrel 2 of the oil regulating valve B ', which releases a more or less large flow cross-section for the oil, is carried out by a handwheel 34 which, when actuated, rotates a threaded spindle 35 in a threaded bushing 37 firmly connected to the housing 36 of the oil regulating valve B' becomes. To limit the rotation of the

Winding spindle z acts on the oil metering needle 2 by means of a bolt 41 under the action of a resilient body 40. The adjustment of the needle takes place against the action of a spring 42, which tries to push it into a position in which it releases the largest cross section for the oil to escape.
The amount of atomization steam must of course be dosed according to the amount of oil supplied. In order to precisely calculate the steam and oil metering in a simple manner

If the handwheel 34 is now moved in the sense of a small position of the burner, d. H. the oil flow is throttled, the guide piece 48 is taken along in the direction of arrow IV (Fig. 1), thereby pivoting the lever 43 about its pivot point 44, whereupon the steam metering screw 53 pushes the steam regulating mandrel 1 against the action of the spring 49 in the same direction pushes inwards, so that the steam flow cross-section is regulated simultaneously with the oil supply and in precise dependence on it.
When the handwheel is turned in the opposite direction, the regulating needles 1 and) move to the right again under the action of their springs 42 and 49, and the lever 43 is carried along by the guide piece 48 and arrives under the action of the stop pressing on the screw 53. 51 again with the right part of the guide piece 48 in stop.
In this way, the primary air supply is also regulated by one and the same actuator, namely by the hand wheel 34, the oil and steam supply and the injector effect of the atomizing steam when it emerges from the nozzle 3, so that optimum combustion is achieved for all firing performance can. An additional dosage of the primary air can also be brought about in such a way that the air supply ring 6 when the handwheel 34 is rotated, e.g. B. mediated by a (not shown) Bowden cable. is adjusted accordingly.
The regulation of the oil, steam and the air supply can also be automatic depending on

nischen or hydraulically controlled accordingly. This can be done, for example, in such a way that in the dosing needle 2 of the oil regulating valve B 'an expansion body actuated by an electric heater is installed, the heating of which is switched on in a known manner in the circuit of a control apparatus, so that the dosing needle 2 counteracts the action of the Spring 42, which tries to push it back into the large position of the burner, is controlled according to the respective operating conditions,
the movement of the oil metering needle 2 can then be transmitted to the steam metering needle 1 in a manner similar to the described embodiment. The automatic regulation can be carried out mechanically, for example, in such a way that an expansion body or a membrane is actuated by the temperature or the pressure of the boiler to be heated and the movement of this pressure or temperature-sensitive element, e.g. B. by a hydraulic linkage. on the oil dosage needle.) is transferred.
By means of the means controlling the oil metering needle, the described dispensing device can also be actuated for the lever 14 actuating the valves A, B and C by the locking lever. ? is moved from the open to the closed position by a branch of the hydraulic linkage when a dangerous operating state occurs;
u. or against the action of a spring, which must be stronger than the spring pressure to be overcome by the hydraulic linkage at the dosing needle, so that the burner is automatically set small first and only then when the pressure in the hydraulic linkage continues to rise despite the burner being set low the intended heating effect is further exceeded, the locking device for valves J, B and C is actuated. In an analogous manner, the locking device can also be operated with electrical regulation. The invention can also be used analogously if, instead of steam, air is used to atomize the fuel.
