Abstract

La invención proporciona moléculas de ADN recombinante útiles para proporcionar la expresión eficaz de proteínas en plantas transgénicas, así como composiciones y métodos para utilizar las moléculas de ADN recombinante. En modalidades particulares, la invención proporciona moléculas de ADN recombinante y construcciones que comprenden secuencias que codifican péptidos de tránsito y secuencias unidas operativamente que confieren tolerancia a herbicidas. Reivindicación 1: Una molécula de ADN recombinante que comprende una secuencia de ADN que codifica un péptido de tránsito unida operativamente a una secuencia de ADN que codifica una proteína con tolerancia a herbicidas heteróloga, caracterizada porque el péptido de tránsito comprende una secuencia de aminoácidos que comprende al menos 97 por ciento de identidad con la secuencia de SEQ ID Nº 265. Reivindicación 7: Una construcción de ADN, caracterizada porque comprende la molécula de ADN de la reivindicación 1 unida operativamente a un promotor heterólogo. Reivindicación 11: Una proteína recombinante, caracterizada porque comprende lo siguiente en unión operativa: a) un péptido de tránsito que comprende una secuencia de aminoácidos que comprende al menos 95 por ciento de identidad con la secuencia de SEQ ID Nº 265; y b) una proteína con tolerancia a herbicidas heteróloga. Reivindicación 13: Un método para producir una planta tolerante a herbicidas, caracterizado porque comprende las siguientes etapas: a) transformar una célula de planta con la molécula de ADN recombinante de la reivindicación 1; y b) regenerar a partir de esta una planta tolerante a herbicidas que comprende la molécula de ADN. Reivindicación 18: Un método para producir una planta o una semilla transgénica tolerante a herbicidas, caracterizado porque comprende cruzar una planta que comprende la molécula de ADN recombinante de la reivindicación 1 consigo misma o una segunda planta para producir una planta o una semilla transgénica tolerante a herbicidas. Reivindicación 19: Un método para expresar una proteína con tolerancia a herbicidas heteróloga en una planta o una célula, caracterizado porque el método comprende el cultivo de una planta o una célula que comprende la molécula de ADN recombinante de la reivindicación 1, en donde dicho cultivo da lugar a la expresión de la proteína con tolerancia a herbicidas heteróloga. Reivindicación 21: Un método para controlar o impedir el crecimiento de malezas en un área de crecimiento de una planta, caracterizado porque comprende aplicar una cantidad eficaz de al menos un herbicida PPO a un área de crecimiento de una planta que comprende una planta o una semilla transgénica que comprende la molécula de ADN de la reivindicación 1, en donde la planta o la semilla transgénica es tolerante al herbicida PPO. Reivindicación 23: Un método para controlar el crecimiento de malezas tolerantes a herbicidas, caracterizado porque comprende: a) cultivar en un área de crecimiento de una planta una planta o una semilla que comprende la molécula de ADN de la reivindicación 1; y b) aplicar un herbicida PPO y al menos otro herbicida al área de crecimiento de la planta, en donde la planta o la semilla es tolerante al herbicida PPO y el al menos un herbicida adicional. Reivindicación 27: Una molécula de ADN recombinante que comprende una secuencia de ADN que codifica un péptido de tránsito unida operativamente a una secuencia de ADN que codifica una proteína con tolerancia a herbicidas heteróloga, caracterizada porque el péptido de tránsito comprende una secuencia de aminoácidos que comprende al menos 95 por ciento de identidad con la secuencia de SEQ ID Nº 265.
