Abstract
Un material compuesto, métodos para producirlo y artículos fabricados a partir de él. El material compuesto comprende un primer componente formado por un polímero renovable y un segundo componente formado por un material de refuerzo. El primer componente comprende un polímero termoplástico seleccionado entre el grupo que consiste en poliésteres biodegradables y sus combinaciones, y el segundo componente comprende partículas de un material hidrófilo, que tiene un tamaño de cribado menor que 0,5 mm. El material compuesto que comprende, además, regiones de elasticidad, a fin de hacer posibles artículos y objetos aptos para mezclas, que tienen propiedades de flexibilidad o semirrigidez en al menos una dimensión. El material compuesto flexible se puede utilizar en artículos de paredes delgadas extrudidos, los que muestran aumento de flexibilidad o suavidad en la dirección transversal.
