Abstract
Reivindicación 1: Un proceso para la co-producción de metanol y amoníaco, caracterizado porque comprende los pasos de (a) proporcionar una materia prima de hidrocarburo; (b) preparar una corriente de hidrógeno separada y una corriente de oxígeno separada por medio de la electrólisis de agua; (c) reformar con vapor primario la materia prima de hidrocarburo proporcionada en1 el paso (a) a un gas reformado con vapor primario; (d) proporcionar aire de proceso para el uso en un peso de reformado secundario al enriquecer el aire atmosférico con la corriente de oxígeno separada del paso (b); (e) someter al reformado secundario el gas sometido al reformado con vapor primario del paso (c) con el aire enriquecido con oxígeno a una corriente de gas de proceso que comprende hidrógeno, nitrógeno, óxidos de carbono; (f) introducir por lo menos parte de la corriente de hidrógeno separada del paso (b) en la corriente de gas de proceso obtenida en el paso (e) u opcionalmente en la corriente de gas de proceso después de un paso de desplazamiento y/o remoción de dióxido de carbono; (g) convertir catalíticamente los óxidos de carbono y una parte del hidrógeno contenido en la corriente de gas de proceso en una etapa de síntesis de metanol de paso único y retirar un efluente que contiene metanol y un efluente gaseoso que contiene óxidos de carbono, hidrógeno y nitrógeno sin convertir; (h) purificar el efluente gaseoso del paso (g) y obtener un gas de síntesis de amoníaco que contiene hidrógeno y nitrógeno; y (i) convertir catalíticamente el nitrógeno y el hidrógeno del gas de síntesis de amoníaco en una etapa de síntesis de amoníaco y retirar un efluente que contiene amoníaco.
