Abstract
a presente invenção fornece métodos para produzir propanal em uma reação que compreende o acoplamento oxidativo de metano (ocm) e oxigênio como uma corrente de reagente em uma reação em fase gasosa, de preferência, na presença de água ou vapor, para formar etileno, etano, dióxido de carbono (co2), água e gás de síntese (co e h2) em um primeiro reator como uma corrente de etileno e, então, formar propanal em um segundo reator alimentando-se o segundo reator com a corrente de etileno e o gás de síntese do primeiro reator na fase gasosa e hidroformilando-se na presença de um catalisador para uma reação de deslocamento de água. no método, a razão entre h2 e co no gás de síntese é mantida coalimentando-se o primeiro reator ou o segundo reator com vapor para gerar h2 adicional no gás de síntese ou formando-se co no segundo reator a partir da reação de deslocamento de água alimentando-se o segundo reator com o co2 da corrente de etileno.
