Abstract
La presente se refiere a un revestimiento a base de nitruro de aluminio-cromo (AlCrN) que exhibe excelente resistencia al desgaste de cráter en operaciones de mecanizado en seco, tales como el estampado. En particular un revestimiento que se deposita sobre la superficie de un sustrato, que comprende una película de múltiples capas que consta de una pluralidad de capas A y una pluralidad de capas B depositadas en forma alternada una sobre otra formando una arquitectura A/B/A/B/A..., las capas A comprenden nitruro de aluminio-cromo-boro y las capas B comprenden nitruro de aluminio-cromo y no comprenden boro, caracterizado porque: la película de múltiples capas comprende al menos una primera parte y una última parte donde el contenido promedio de boro la primera parte del revestimiento es mayor que el contenido promedio de boro en la ultima parte de revestimiento, y tanto la primera parte de revestimiento como la última parte de revestimiento exhiben esfuerzos de compresión inherentes; y donde el esfuerzo de comprensión inherente en la primera parte de revestimiento es menor que en la última parte del revestimiento. Reivindicación 14: Un método para producir un revestimiento de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones precedentes, caracterizado porque al menos la película de múltiples capas (216) se produce mediante el uso de técnicas de PVD, preferiblemente técnicas de deposición por chapado de iones de arco, y la primera parte del revestimiento (216a) y la última parte del revestimiento (216c) de la película de múltiples capas (216) se depositan mediante el uso de la misma configuración de revestimiento que incluye las mismas dianas y los mismos parámetros de revestimiento con excepción de la tensión de polarización.
