Abstract
Reivindicación 1: Un panel de yeso resistente al fuego caracterizado porque comprende un núcleo de yeso colocado entre dos láminas de cubierta, en donde el núcleo de yeso comprende una matriz cristalina de yeso fraguado y tiene una dureza de núcleo de al menos alrededor de 11 libras (alrededor de 5 kg) y una densidad de alrededor de 40 libras por pie cúbico (alrededor de 640 kg/m³) o menos, y en donde el panel tiene una Contracción a Alta Temperatura (S) de alrededor de 10% o menos. Reivindicación 26: Un método para producir el panel de yeso resistente al fuego de cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 - 25, caracterizado porque comprende: (A) preparar una lechada de yeso; (B) colocar la lechada de yeso entre una primera lámina de cubierta y una segunda lámina de cubierta para formar un montaje que comprende un núcleo de yeso fraguado; (C) cortar el montaje en un panel de dimensiones predeterminadas; y (D) secar el panel.
