Abstract

Podría usarse una batería electroquímica recargable en la forma de un ensamble de alambre de una o múltiples hebras como una fuente de energía para cualquier cantidad de dispositivos médicos implantables o no implantables. Dado que la batería con forma de alambre puede hacerse a microescala, podría usarse para energizar dispositivos médicos que eran, tradicionalmente, dispositivos no activos, pero los cuales podrían mejorarse con componentes activos. La batería con forma de alambre podría cortarse a medida para una aplicación particular, la cual proporciona el mismo voltaje de circuito abierto sin importar cómo se configura finalmente el alambre y la longitud del alambre usado.
