Abstract
Un microorganismo que comprende un sistema enzimático hidrogenasa que es capaz de convertir dióxido de carbono en ácido fórmico y un segundo sistema enzimático que es capaz de convertir ácido fórmico en ácidos carboxílicos alifáticos que tienen una longitud de cadena de cinco o más átomos de carbono. También se describen diversos métodos para producir aceite.Reivindicación 18: El uso del microorganismo de cualquier reivindicación precedente para producir ácidos carboxílicos alifáticos. Reivindicación 19: Un método para producir ácidos carboxílicos alifáticos, el método comprende producir ácidos carboxílicos alifáticos usando un medio que comprende un sistema enzimático hidrogenasa que es capaz de convertir dióxido de carbono en ácido fórmico y un segundo sistema enzimático que es capaz de convertir ácido fórmico en ácidos carboxílicos alifáticos que tienen una longitud de cadena de cinco o más átomos de carbono. Reivindicación 29: Un medio que comprende un sistema enzimático hidrogenasa que es capaz de convertir dióxido de carbono en ácido fórmico y un segundo sistema enzimático que es capaz de convertir ácido fórmico en ácidos carboxílicos alifáticos que tienen una longitud de cadena de cinco o más átomos de carbono. Reivindicación 31: Los ácidos carboxílicos alifáticos producidos mediante el método de cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 19 a 28. Reivindicación 37: Un método para producir un microorganismo, el método comprende el paso de insertar un gen o varios genes que codifican un sistema enzimático hidrogenasa capaz de convertir dióxido de carbono en ácido fórmico en un microorganismo e insertar un gen o varios genes que codifican un segundo sistema enzimático que es capaz de convertir ácido fórmico en ácidos carboxílicos alifáticos que tienen una longitud de cadena de cinco o más átomos de carbono en un microorganismo, donde el gen o los genes se expresan mediante el microorganismo.
