Abstract
Proceso para aislar al menos un compuesto de interés, tal como manool, geranil linalool, etil guayacol, eugenol, veratraldehído, escualeno, terpina, colesterol, b-sitosterol, campesterol, estigmasterol, estigmastenol y ácido deshidroabiético, a partir de una biomasa, donde dicho proceso incluye los pasos de: obtener un condensado proveniente de un evaporador de recuperación, un retentato de ósmosis inversa de un condensado de un molino de pasta y papel, o ambos; donde el condensado, el retentato o ambos están sustancialmente libres de materiales de celulosa y/o lignina y/o derivados de lignina de mayor peso molecular (aproximadamente > 1000 Da); opcionalmente ajustar el pH y filtrar el condensado para recolectar el material insoluble; extraer el condensado, el material insoluble recolectado, o ambos, mediante una extracción en fase sólida (SPE), extracción líquido-líquido o extracción sólido-líquido para producir un extracto que contiene dicho al menos un compuesto de interés; y opcionalmente purificar el extracto que contiene dicho al menos un compuesto de interés por fraccionamiento térmico, separación cromatográfica, recristalización por intercambio iónico, quelación, adsorción/desorción, liofilización y sublimación o combinaciones de los mismos. El método es de particular utilidad para aislar los compuestos de interés a partir de las aguas residuales producidas en un molino de pasta y papel kraft, especialmente a partir de los condensados de los evaporadores de recuperación producidos durante el tratamiento del licor negro.
