Abstract
Un proceso para calentar una carga de alimentación metálica (31) suministrada en continuo a un horno fundidor (30) a través de una sección de calentamiento horizontal secundaria (34) por medio de descargas calientes de gases recogidos de dicho horno (30), dichos gases ejercen la fase de calentamiento de dicha carga de alimentación (31), caracterizada por que, inmediatamente antes de entrar en dicha segunda sección de calentamiento (34), la carga de alimentación (31) es sometida a una fase de precalentamiento por medios de calefacción diferentes de la descarga de gases recogidas del horno fundidor (30). En una máquina para la realización de dicho proceso, los diferentes medios de calentamiento mencionados son concebidos dentro de una primera sección de calentamiento (33), la cual está operativamente conectada con dicha segunda sección de calentamiento (34) por medio de una sección intermedia de evacuación de gases (35), los gases provienen de dichas secciones (33) y (34) son transmitidos a la mencionada sección. Dichas secciones (33, 34) preferentemente poseen una configuración de túnel.
