Abstract

Un método para tratar agua por floculacion con balasto que comprende un paso para inyectar en dicha agua al menos un agente floculante, un paso para inyectar en dicha agua al menos un material particulado que es más denso que el agua, y un paso para recobrar agua tratada, caracterizado porque la mencionada floculacion con balasto se lleva a cabo bajo agitacion, a una media del gradiente de velocidad comprendida entre 100 y 1400 s-1 y porque el mencionado agente floculante consiste en al menos un polímero de carbohidrato natural, que tiene una densidad de carga anionica que fluctua entre -900 y -4000 microeq/g.
