Abstract
<p>Las partículas hidrofóbicas como el carbón y los finos minerales hidrofobizados puede separarse fácilmente de las impurezas hidrofílicas al formar aglomerados en agua, utilizando líquidos hidrofóbicos como el aceite. Los aglomerados de partículas hidrofóbicas, normalmente, atrapan grandes cantidades de agua, provocando que la humedad recuperada de las partículas hidrofóbicas sea excesivamente alta. Este problema se puede superar al dispersar los aglomerados hidrofóbicos en un líquido hidrofóbico que pueda ser fácilmente reciclado. La dispersión se puede lograr, utilizando un aparato y métodos especialmente diseñados que puedan crear una turbulencia que pueda ayudar a desestabilizar los aglomerados en un líquido hidrofóbico reciclable y facilitar la dispersión.</p>
