Abstract

Un proceso para preparar polímeros de estireno expansible que comprende las etapas de: (a) adicion de una fase acuosa que comprende un estabilizador de suspensiones y una fase orgánica que comprende estireno y un iniciador a un reactor, (b) comienzo de la adicion de un agente de soplado en una conversion del estireno en el rango del 40 al 70% y adicion del agente de soplado durante un período que va de 30 a 60 minutos, (c) adicion de un estabilizador para estabilizarla distribucion del tamano de las perlas del polímero de estireno expansible en una conversion del estireno en el rango del 65 al 99%.
