Abstract
Se describe un procedimiento para producir ácido sulfurico, en el cual una corriente de gas bruto que contiene SO2 es producido en una planta de recuperacion de ácido sulfurico, siendo el gas bruto conducido a través de al menos un contenedor de reaccion, en el cual tiene lugar una reaccion catalítica de SO2 a SO3, siendo el SO3 así formado convertido en ácido sulfurico. De acuerdo a la presente, la emision de SO2 de al menos una corriente parcial de la corriente de gas que sale de la planta de recuperacion de ácido sulfurico es hidrogenada con un gas rico en H2 en una etapa de tratamiento ulterior. La corriente de gas que contiene H2S formada por hidrogenacion es alimentada a un depurador de gas H2S de una planta de hornos de coque o una plata petroquímica. También se describe una disposicion para llevar a cabo el procedimiento.
