Abstract
Una disposicion para la produccion de poliéster que emplea un reactor de esterificacion verticalmente alargado. Una realizacion requiere escasa, si alguna agitacion. Reivindicacion 1: Un proceso que comprende: (a) someter a un medio de reaccion a esterificacion en un reactor de esterificacion verticalmente alargado y (b) optativamente, agitar el medio de reaccion en el reactor de esterificacion, donde menos de aproximadamente 50 por ciento de la agitacion es producida por agitacion mecánica. Reivindicacion 39: Un aparato que comprende: un recipiente de reaccion y una pluralidad de tubos de intercambio de calor verticalmente espaciados situados en dicho recipiente de reaccion, donde dicho recipiente de reaccion es alargado a lo largo de un eje central de elongacion vertical, donde dicho recipiente de reaccion define una entrada de fluido, una pluralidad de salidas de líquido verticalmente espaciadas y una salida de vapor, donde dicha entrada de fluido está situada a una menor altura que dicha salida de vapor, donde dichas salidas de líquido están situadas a una altura mayor que dicha entrada de fluido y menor que dicha salida de vapor.
