Abstract
Un Nodo-B envía un mensaje de sondeo a una unidad de transmision/recepcion inalámbrica (WTRU). La WTRU envía una ráfaga de sincronizacion de enlace hacia arriba en respuesta al mensaje de sondeo sin contencion. El Nodo-B estima un cambio de tiempo de enlace hacia arriba con base en la ráfaga de sincronizacion y envía un comando de ajuste de tiempo de enlace hacia arriba a la WTRU. La WTRU entonces ajusta el tiempo de enlace hacia arriba con base en el comando de ajuste de tiempo de enlace hacia arriba. Alternativamente, el Nodo-B puede enviar un mensaje de programacion para sincronizacion de enlace hacia arriba a la WTRU. La WTRU puede enviar una ráfaga de sincronizacion con base en el mensaje de programacion. De forma alternativa, la WTRU puede realizar sincronizacion de enlace hacia arriba basada en contencion después de recibir una solicitud de sincronizacion desde el Nodo-B. La WTRU puede entrar en un estado de ociosidad en vez de realizar un pase a una nueva celda cuando la WTRU se mueve a la nueva celda. Un intervalo de recepcion discontinua (DRX) para la WTRU puede ser establecido con base en la actividad de la WTRU.
