Un compuesto caracterizado porque responde a la formula (1), o una sal aceptable para uso farmacéutico o solvato del mismo, en donde m representa 1, 2 o 3; cada R1 en forma independiente representa un átomo de H o un halogeno; A representa C(O)NH o NHC(O); Ar1 representa un grupo de formula (2) a (5), uno de R2 y R3 representa halogeno, nitro, NR4R5, hidroxilo, o un grupo seleccionado entre (i) C1-6 alquilo opcionalmente sustituido con al menos un halogeno y (ii) C1-6 alcoxi opcionalmente sustituido con al menos un halogeno, y el otro de R2 y R3 representa un átomo de H, halogeno o u grupo C1-6 alquilo opcionalmente sustituido con al menos un halogeno; R4 y R5 cada uno en forma independiente representa un átomo de H o un grupo seleccionado entre C1-6 alquilo y C1-6 alcoxi, donde dicho grupo C1-6 alquilo o C1-6 alcoxi puede estar opcionalmente sustituido con al menos un sustituyente seleccionado entre halogeno y hidroxilo; Ar2 representa fenilo o un anillo heteroaromático de 5 o 6 miembros que comprende entre 1 y 2 heteroátomos seleccionados en forma independiente entre N, O y S, donde dicho anillo fenilo o heteroaromático está sustituido con al menos un sustituyente seleccionado entre CO2R6, MC1- 6alquil CO2R7, C1-6 alquilsulfonilaminocarbonilo, NHR8, R9, XR10, C(O)NHOH y NR28R29; y donde dicho anillo fenilo o heteroaromático también puede estar opcionalmente sustituido con al menos un sustituyente seleccionado entre halogeno, nitro, NR11R12, hidroxilo, S(O)pR13, un grupo C1-6 alcoxi donde dicho grupo C1-6 alcoxi puede estar opcionalmente sustituido con al menos un halogeno, y un grupo C1-6 alquilo donde dicho grupo C1-6 alquilo puede estar opcionalmente sustituido con al menos un sustituyente seleccionado entre halogeno, hidroxilo, NR14R15, SO2, NR16R17, NR18SO2R19, NHCOR20 y CONR21R22; R6 y R7 cada uno en forma independiente representa un átomo de H o un grupo C1-6 alquilo; R8 representa CN, C1-6 alquilsulfonilo, C1-6 alquilcarbonilo, C1-6 alcoxicarbonilo, C1-6 alquilaminosulfonilo, o (di)-C1-6 alquilaminosulfonilo; R9 y R10 cada uno en forma independiente representa tetrazolilo o un anillo heterocíclico de 5 o 6 miembros que comprende entre 1 y 4 heteroátomos seleccionados en forma independiente entre N, O y S, donde dicho anillo heterocíclico está sustituido con al menos un sustituyente seleccionado entre hidroxilo, =O y =S; M representa un enlace, O, S(O)q o NR23; X representa O, S(O)s, NR24, C1-6 alquileno, O(CH2)1-6, NR25(CH2)1-6, o S(O)t(CH2)1-6; p, q, s y t cada uno en forma independiente representa 0, 1 o 2; R28 y R29 junto con el átomo de N al cual están unidos forman un anillo heterocíclico saturado e 3 a 8 miembros, donde dicho anillo heterocíclico está sustituido con al menos un sustituyente seleccionado en forma independiente entre CO2R6, MC1-6 alquil CO2R7, C1-6 alquilsulfonilaminocarbonilo, C(O)NHOH, NHR8, R9 y XR10, y donde dicho anillo heterocíclico saturado de 3 a 8 miembros también puede estar opcionalmente sustituido con al menos un sustituyente seleccionado en forma independiente entre hidroxilo, halogeno, C1-6 alcoxi opcionalmente sustituido con al menos un halogeno, y un grupo C1-6 alquilo donde dicho grupo C1-6 alquilo puede estar opcionalmente sustituido con al menos un sustituyente seleccionado en forma independiente entre halogeno y hidroxilo; y R11, R12, R13, R14, R15, R16, R17, R18, R19, R20, R21, R22, R23, R24 y R25 cada uno en forma independiente representa un átomo de H o un grupo seleccionado entre C1-6 alquilo y C1-6 alcoxi, donde dicho grupo C1-6 alquilo o C1-6 alcoxi puede estar opcionalmente sustituido con al menos un sustituyente seleccionado entre halogeno y hidroxilo; con las siguientes salvedades: cuando m es 1 y Ar es un grupo (II) y Ar2 es fenilo sustituido con XR10 en una posicion para con respecto a Ar1 y X es CH2, entonces R10 no es un grupo 2,4-dioxotiazolilo, y cuando m es 1 y Ar1 es un grupo (II) y Ar2 es fenilo sustituido con MC1-6 alquil CO2R7 en una posicion para con respeto a Ar1, entonces M no representa un enlace.
