Abstract
Una composición de catalizador que comprende paladio, plata y un material de soporte (preferiblemente alúmina) se pone en contacto con una composición líquida que comprende un componente de yodo tal como yoduro de amonio, y luego se calcina el catalizador. También se describe un proceso mejorado para hidrogenación, especialmente la hidrogenación selectiva de acetileno (a etileno) usando esta composición de catalizador mejorada, la cual posee mejores características de conversión y desactivación.
