Reivindicación 1: Un proceso para la preparación de repaglinida de la fórmula (1) que comprende: a) La reacción de la amina-(S) de la fórmula (2), con un ácido carboxílico protegido de la fórmula (3), en donde R es un grupo protector, ante la presencia de cloruro de pivaloil y una base, y b) la remoción del grupo protector para obtener repaglinida.
