Abstract

Un producto -cera de hidrocarburos obtenido a partir de una suspensión de síntesis de hidrocarburos que comprende producto líquido de síntesis y partículas de catalizador, es purificado mediante la introducción de una porción de la suspensión de la síntesis de los hidrocarburos proveniente de una zona de síntesis de hidrocarburos en una zona de tratamiento en la cual un gas de tratamiento entra en contacto con la suspensión de síntesis de hidrocarburos. El hidrógeno, o un gas con contenido de hidrógeno, puede ser utilizado como gas de tratamiento. El tratamiento con gas remueve las impurezas de la porción cera de hidrocarburos, de la suspensión de la síntesis de los hidrocarburos. El producto cera purificado es separado y removido in situ por medio de medios para la extracción de la cera . Esto evita o minimiza la necesidad de tratamientos adicionales del producto cera.
