Abstract
Se describe un proceso para licuar gas natural para la produccion de un producto líquido presurizado con una temperatura superior a -112*C mediante eluso de dos refrigerantes mixtos en dos ciclos cerrados, un refrigerante de bajo nivel para enfriar ylicuar el gas natural y un refrigerante de altonivel para enfriar el refrigerante de bajo nivel. Una vez utilizado para licuar el gas natural, el refrigerante de bajo nivel es (a) calentadopor intercambio de calor en relacion de contracorriente conotra corriente del refrigerante de bajo nivel y por intercambio de calor contra una primeracorriente del refrigerante de alto nivel; (b) comprimido a una presion elevada y (c) posenfriado contra un fluido de refrigeracion externa. Acontinuacion se enfría el refrigerante de bajo nivel por intermedio de calor contra una segunda corriente del refrigerante mixto de alto nivel y porintercambio contra el refrigerante de bajo nivel. El refrigerante de alto nivel se calienta por el intercambio térmico con el refrigerante de bajo nivel,se comprime a una presion elevada y se enfría posteriormente contra un fluido de refrigeracion externa.
