Abstract
Una pila (10) electroquímica, caracterizada por comprender: un cátodo (12) que contiene dioxido de manganeso y una oxi sal de titanio; un ánodo (14); y unseparador (16) dispuesto entre el cátodo y el ánodo. Dicha oxi sal de titanio y el cátodocompre nde entre aproximadamente 0,1 y 5% en peso de dicha oxi sal detitanio con relacion al peso total de material activo en el mismo. La pila es una batería alcalina seleccionada del grupo integrado por baterías C y baterías D. El cátodo posee unaporosid ad que oscila aproximadamente entre 18 y 28% y el ánodo comprende partículas de zinc. La pila comprende además una solucion deelectrolito. Un cátodo (12) que comprende: dioxido de manganeso; y una oxi sal de titanio. Las pilas que poseen elcátodo de scripto gozan de buenascaracterísticas de rendimiento. Por ejemplo, las pilas se comportan bien en aplicaciones en las cuales se producen descargas intermitentes, tales como juguetes.
