Abstract

Se proporciona un nuevo agente de curacion compatible con agua para resinas epoxi. El agente de curacion puede ser obtenido mediante (a) la reaccion de porlo menos una poliamina que tiene por lo menos tres átomos de hidrogeno de amina activa por molécula y por lo menos una resina epoxi que tiene una funcionalidadde por lo menos 1,5 en una funcionalidad epoxi equivalente a la relacion molar poliamina de 0,9:1 a 1:10, produciendo así un intermedio terminado en amina; (b)la reaccion del intermedioterminado en amina con 0,5 a 25 % en peso, basado en el intermedio terminado en amina de un compuesto que contiene poli alquilenoglicol terminado en ácido que tiene la formula: (I), (II) y (III), en la cual R1 es un grupo alquilo, arilo o arilalquiloC1-15; X e Y son independientementeun grupo hidrogeno, metilo o etilo, con la condicion de que si X es metilo o etilo, Y es hidrogeno o si Y es metilo o etilo, X es hidrogeno y n + m + o es unnumero real de 100 a 200 y n + o es por lo menos el 70% de n + m + o, y en una relacion de (I) a (II) en peso en la escala de 100:0 a 0:100, una relacion de(I) a (III) en peso en la escala de 100:0 a 0:100 y en una relacion de (II) a (III) en peso en la escala de 100:0 a 0:100, hasta que se consumen esencialmentetodos los grupos ácidos. Tal agente de curacion terminado en amina puede estar rematado también con un monoepoxi. El agente de curacion puede ser preparadotambién (a) haciendo reaccionar por lo menos una poliamina descripta anteriormente y unaresina epoxi produciendo así un intermedio terminado en amina; (b)haciendo reaccionar al intermedio terminado en amina rematada; y luego (c) haciendo reaccionar al intermedio terminado en amina con un compuestopolialquilenoglicol terminado en ácidodescripto anteriormente.
