Abstract

La presente invencion está dirigida a una espuma flexible de poliuretano de baja densidad y al proceso para preparar la misma a partir de unacomposicion de poliisocianato y una composicion reactiva al isocianato en la cual la composicion depol iisocianato comprende un semi-prepolímero que esel producto de reaccion de un exceso de una formulacion de base isocianato con un polioxietilén poliol. Dicha formulacion de base isocianato comprende unamezcla de difenilmetano diisocianato ypolifeni lpolimetilén, dicho difenilmetano diisocianato comprende, inter alia, 2,4-MDI en cantidadesprescritas, con lo cual la funcionalidad de la formulacion de base isocianato está en el rango de 2,07 a 2,12 y dicha composicionreactiva al is ocianatocomprende agua, un segundo polioxietilén poliol, un agente de entrcruzamiento y catalizador.
