Abstract

Un cuerpo de coquilla de una aleacion endurecible de cobre se provee con una capa interior de proteccion contra erosion constituida por cromo, cuyadureza disminuye de la cara del lado de la colada continua en direccion hacia el cuerpo de coquilla. La capa de proteccion contra erosion está constituidapor dos capas de cromo. Para preparar el cuerpo de coquilla se somete una preforma de cuerpo de coquilla a un templado por disolucion, se croma y acontinuacion se endurece, con lo cual seablanda la dureza inicialmente muy elevada de la capa de cromo.
