Abstract

La invencion se refiere a un separador helicoidal de líquido/gas perfeccionado cuyo principio de operacion se basa en una combinacion de fuerzascentrífugas y de gravedad. Generalmente hablando, el separador comprende un separadorpr imario, formado básicamente por una cámara de expansion; unseparador secundario, formado básicamente por una hélice para dirigir la corriente; un separador terciario, que comprende un reservorio o tanque deseparacion gravitacional y unazona d e transicion dispuesta entre los separadores primario y secundario, el cual comprende al menos dos hélices depaso variable, cuyas inclinaciones varían desde un ángulo de 90* hata el ángulo de inclinacion de la hélice de pasoconstant e del separador secundario,cuya funcion es proveer una corriente mas suave de la fase líquida en la zona de transicion entre los dos primeros separadores.
