Abstract
La solicitud desarrolla un proceso para producir resinas de alta viscosidad para uso en formulaciones de tintas que exhiben propiedadesmejoradas comparadas con las tintas conteniendo resinas hechas con agentes convencionales gelantesmetálicos, y las tintas de alta viscosidad hechas porel proceso. Las resinas hechas de acuerdo con el proceso de la presente invención mantienen sus propiedades de alta viscosidad aún cuando son sometidasa severos stress mecánicos y térmicoscomparados con las resinas geladas convencionales. El proceso de la invención está caracterizado por mezclar lasresinas y el agente de entrecruzamiento seleccionado para inducir la formación de las uniones covalentes de entrecruzamiento enla resina en la cámara dereacción y calentando la mezcla a suficiente temperatura para causar la formación de las uniones covalentes de entrecruzamiento en la resina en orden aproveer una resina sustancialmente estable de alta viscosidad. Lare sina resultante puede ser usada directamente en fabricar tinta, obviando lanecesidad de gelación y evitando el uso de agentes gelantes convencionales organometálicos.
