Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to form a metal back on a phosphor layer efficiently by using a transcription member having least a metal back layer on a base film with the peeling-off property, and making the metal back layer transcribed on the phosphor layer on a face plate of a cathode-ray tube. CONSTITUTION:A transcription member 7 is superposed on a phosphor layer 6, heating and pressurizing process is applied, and an adhesive layer 5 is welded to the phosphor layer 6. The temperature in this case is adequate to be 130 to 230 deg.C, and the pressure is to be 3 to 150kg/cm<2>. Then by removing a base film 1, a metal back layer 4 is transcribed on the phosphor layer 6. When the phosphor layer 6 has not been baked up, a face plate 8 is baked up, and by removing the organic components other than the phosphor layer, the metal back can be completed. In such a way, the metal back can be formed efficiently.
