Claims (21)
- 血管内システムであって、
基端と、先端と、前記先端に配置されたセンサと、カテーテルの前記基端から前記カテーテルの前記先端まで延在し且つ前記先端において前記センサに動作可能に接続されたケーブルと、を含むカテーテルであって、前記センサが患者の1つ以上の血管内特性を表す血管内信号を提供するように構成されたカテーテルと、
前記ケーブルの先端方向および基端方向の動きが少なくとも1つの摩擦ホイールの回転を引き起こすように、前記カテーテルの前記ケーブルに動作可能に係合する少なくとも1つの摩擦ホイールと、
基準要素と複数の検出可能要素とを含む位置センサであって、前記基準要素と前記複数の検出可能要素の内の第1検出可能要素との間の関係に基づいて位置信号を生成するように構成され、前記複数の検出可能要素が前記少なくとも1つの摩擦ホイールの回転に応じて前記基準要素に対して移動するように構成されており、前記第1検出可能要素は、前記複数の検出可能要素の内の第2検出可能要素の磁気特性とは異なる磁気特性を有し、前記第1検出可能要素と前記第2検出可能要素の磁気特性は、磁気の強さ及び磁気の方向の内の一つ以上を備えている、位置センサと、
前記カテーテルの前記センサおよび前記位置センサと通信し、前記カテーテルの前記センサからの血管内信号および前記位置センサからの位置信号を受信するように構成された血管内処理エンジンと、を備える、システム。 - 前記少なくとも1つの摩擦ホイールが、前記カテーテルの前記ケーブルが第1摩擦ホイールと第2摩擦ホイールの間に延在するように、互いに対向して配置された第1摩擦ホイールおよび第2摩擦ホイールを備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1摩擦ホイールが、前記複数の検出可能要素が前記第1摩擦ホイールの回転に基づいて前記基準要素に対して移動するように、前記位置センサの前記複数の検出可能要素を備える、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2摩擦ホイールが、前記カテーテルのケーブルに対してバネ付勢されている、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の検出可能要素が、複数の磁気的に検出可能な要素を備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記カテーテルが、血管内超音波(IVUS)カテーテルを備え、前記カテーテルの前記センサが、IVUSトランスデューサを備え、前記ケーブルが、駆動ケーブルを備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記血管内処理エンジンが、長手方向IVUS画像を生成するために、前記IVUSトランスデューサからの画像情報および前記位置センサからの位置情報を受信するように構成されている、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記カテーテルが、基端部を有するモノレール圧力センサ(MPS)カテーテルを備え、前記センサが、圧力センサを備え、前記ケーブルが、センサ送達装置の基端部を備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記血管内処理エンジンが、患者内の複数の位置における前記圧力センサからの圧力情報および前記複数の位置のそれぞれにおける前記圧力情報に関連付けられた前記位置センサからの位置情報を受信するように構成されている、請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記血管内処理エンジンが、前記少なくとも1つの摩擦ホイールのうちの少なくとも1つの回転方向を示す前記位置センサからの信号を受信する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- さらに、前記カテーテルに動作可能に結合され、且つ前記患者に対する前記カテーテルの前記ケーブルの並進を促進するように構成された並進機構を備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 血管内カテーテルの位置検知システムであって、
第1表面と、前記第1表面に対向する第2表面と、前記第1表面と前記第2表面の間に延びる周縁と、を有する少なくとも1つの摩擦ホイールと、
前記少なくとも1つの摩擦ホイールのうちの少なくとも1つを前記血管内カテーテルのケーブルに押し付けるように付勢されたバネ機構と、
前記少なくとも1つの摩擦ホイールの少なくとも第1の摩擦ホイール上に配置された複数の検出可能領域であって、前記複数の検出可能領域の内の第1検出可能領域は、前記複数の検出可能領域の内の第2検出可能領域の磁気特性とは異なる磁気特性を有し、前記第1検出可能領域と前記第2検出可能領域の磁気特性は、磁気の強さ及び磁気の方向の内の一つ以上を備えている、複数の検出可能領域と、
前記第1の摩擦ホイールに近接して配置された検出器であって、前記複数の検出可能領域の内の第1検出可能領域の相対移動を検出するように構成された検出器と、を備える、位置検知システム。 - 前記少なくとも1つの摩擦ホイールが、第1摩擦ホイールおよび第2摩擦ホイールを備え、前記第1摩擦ホイールが、前記複数の検出可能領域のうちの少なくとも前記第1検出可能領域を含む、請求項12に記載の位置検知システム。
- 前記バネ機構が、前記第2摩擦ホイールに動作可能に結合され、前記第1摩擦ホイールに向かって前記第2摩擦ホイールを付勢するように構成されている、請求項13に記載の位置検知システム。
- 前記複数の検出可能領域が、複数の磁気的に検出可能な領域を備える、請求項12に記載の位置検知システム。
- さらに、前記複数の検出可能領域のうちの少なくとも1つの検出可能領域の相対位置を示す前記検出器からの位置情報を受信するように構成された血管内処理エンジンを備える、請求項12に記載の位置検知システム。
- 前記血管内処理エンジンが、さらに、(i)血管内センサから血管内信号を受信し、(ii)前記血管内信号が取得された相対位置に対応する位置情報と前記受信した血管内信号を組み合わせるように構成されている、請求項16に記載の位置検知システム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの摩擦ホイールのうちの少なくとも1つの摩擦ホイールの周縁まわりに前記ケーブルの摩擦係数よりも高い摩擦係数を有する摩擦材料を含む、請求項12に記載の位置検知システム。
- さらに、前記少なくとも1つの摩擦ホイール、前記バネ機構、および前記検出器を囲むハウジングを備える、請求項12に記載の位置検知システム。
- 血管内システム用の位置検知アセンブリであって、
カテーテルのアンカー部を受け入れるための溝を含むハウジングと、
前記ハウジングに結合され且つ複数の検出可能要素および基準要素を含む位置センサであって、前記基準要素が、前記複数の検出可能要素の内の少なくとも第1検出可能要素の相対位置および相対運動の少なくとも1つを示す信号を出力するように構成されており、前記第1検出可能要素は、前記複数の検出可能要素の内の第2検出可能要素の磁気特性とは異なる磁気特性を有し、前記第1検出可能要素と前記第2検出可能要素の磁気特性は、磁気の強さ及び磁気の方向の内の一つ以上を備えている、位置センサと、
前記ハウジングに結合され且つ前記位置センサの前記複数の検出可能要素を備える第1の摩擦ホイールと、
前記ハウジングに結合され且つ付勢バネに動作可能に結合された第2の摩擦ホイールと、を備え、
前記第1の摩擦ホイールおよび前記第2の摩擦ホイールが、前記溝がカテーテルのアンカー部を受け入れるときに、カテーテルケーブルが前記第1の摩擦ホイールおよび前記第2の摩擦ホイールの間に延び、前記付勢バネが、前記カテーテルケーブルが前記第1の摩擦ホイールと前記第2の摩擦ホイールの間に延びるときに、前記第2の摩擦ホイールを前記カテーテルケーブルに押し付ける、位置検知アセンブリ。 - 前記システムは、前記少なくとも1つの摩擦ホイールの第1の摩擦ホイールと同軸で位置合わせされたディスクをさらに備え、前記ディスクは、前記第1の摩擦ホイールと同じ方向に前記第1の摩擦ホイールと共に回転するように構成されており、前記ディスクは、前記第1の摩擦ホイールの半径よりも大きな半径を有し、
前記複数の検出可能要素は、前記ディスクの周囲に配置されており、
前記複数の検出可能要素は、前記ディスク及び前記第1の摩擦ホイールの回転に応じて前記基準要素に対して移動するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
