Abstract

The method involves transferring fuel into the boiler (1) which is burned by forming a flame (3) in a burner (2). Formation of the flame is detected by a detector using a small-area high spectral resolution CCD camera. The flame is regulated depending on the processing of detector output signals in a computer unit (9) by varying burner control parameters at the burner and/or at a device connected in series with the burner. The flame is detected by sensor with high spatial resolution and low spectral resolution and a sensor with low spatial resolution and high spectral resolution..
