Definitions
- the invention relates to a mouse cover.
- Computer mice are an important accessory for operating a computer in today's everyday life. Computer mice are often a design object that is not necessarily ergonomic to handle. Therefore, there are mouse covers on the market that are intended to give the computer mouse an ergonomic shape and are intended to facilitate everyday use.
- Computer mouse covers are commercially available, which are either glued onto the computer mouse or attached by a suction cup.
- US 6396478B1 describes a conventional computer mouse in combination with an ergonomic extension.
- the ergonomic extension is attached to the computer mouse for movement therewith and is positioned adjacent to the computer mouse to facilitate use of the mouse by a user in an ergonomically correct position.
- An adjustment mechanism allows the user to adjust the position of the computer mouse relative to the ergonomic extender to accommodate use of the computer mouse and ergonomic extender by users with different sized hands.
- Hook and loop fasteners on the cavity wall and top surface of the computer mouse provide adjustable attachment therebetween.
- the adjustment is provided by teeth on the mouse that engage teeth on the ergonomic extension to provide positional adjustment to provide .
- the mouse's teeth are positioned on a rearwardly extending lever.
- W00145076A1 describes a cover configured to accommodate a mouse.
- the cover covers a top surface of the mouse except for a window that exposes controls on the mouse so that a user can directly access and manipulate the controls.
- the cover can have an ergonomic shape in order to adjust the shape of the mouse to a more comfortable ergonomic shape.
- CA2335380A1 describes a protective cover for a computer mouse made from an elastic, flexible material.
- the shell - shaped material stretches across the top and sides of the mouse and is held firmly in place by the elastic action .
- the bottom of the mouse remains open for proper use.
- the material is relatively thin in order to maintain the functionality of the mouse buttons.
- the aim of the invention is to provide a mouse cover that is intended to enable ergonomic use of a computer mouse.
- a mouse cover consisting of an upper part and a lower part, the mouse cover having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis;
- the base has a substantially rectangular opening capable of receiving a computer mouse, the computer mouse having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis and slide rails along it Has longitudinal direction or sliding points, the computer mouse resting on at least two front support points and at least two rear support points on the lower part;
- the upper part has at least one support point which rests on the computer mouse, the upper part has a convex shape (viewed from above) and the upper part and the lower part are connected to one another.
- a computer mouse is pushed into the essentially rectangular opening, the computer mouse resting on the at least two front and rear support points.
- the computer mouse's glide bars/sliding points remain in contact with the surface of the table or other object on which the mouse is being moved.
- the at least one support point of the upper part rests on the mouse.
- the cover is tightened by connecting the upper part to the lower part; it rests only on the at least five support points. This creates a firm connection between the mouse cover and the mouse.
- the connection between the upper part and the lower part can take place, for example, using screws or a click connection.
- the mouse is accordingly "clicked" or "clipped” into the cover. Tightening the screws tightens the mouse cover.
- the at least one support point of the upper part of a computer mouse with one button is aligned exactly on the tilting line of the mouse.
- Apple's Magic Mouse has only one button.
- the button is pressed , the entire surface on which the hand is resting is clicked forward , with a tipping point in the back area , ie . H . the rear part of the mouse surface moves up when clicked.
- the contact point of the upper part is placed directly on the tipping point / the tipping line, whereby the functionality of the mouse is fully preserved.
- Such a mouse cover also serves to mechanically protect the computer mouse. For example, if the mouse falls off the surface of the table or other object on which the mouse is being moved, the mouse cover serves as protection against damage, since the mouse cover is an outer shell for the computer mouse.
- the upper part and the lower part can be made in one piece. This eliminates plugging.
- the at least two front support points and/or the two at least two rear support points can be connected to one another by means of support webs.
- the support webs are thus aligned in the transverse direction. This creates a better integration of the computer mouse into the cover.
- the front support point can be connected to the rear support point on the left side and the front support point to the rear support point on the right side by means of support webs.
- the lateral support webs are aligned along the longitudinal axis.
- the at least one support point of the upper part can be designed as a support web. This creates a wider contact surface and results in better contact.
- the opening in the lower part can form a positive connection with the computer mouse along its longitudinal axis and/or transverse axis. This makes it impossible for the mouse to slip in the cover.
- a cavity can be formed between the computer mouse and the mouse cover. This creates the possibility of accommodating various aids in the cavity.
- a charging cable, a storage medium or similar computer accessory, an additional battery and/or a coil for wireless charging can be accommodated in the hollow space. This creates further application possibilities for the cover.
- a Peltier element can be accommodated in the cavity, which generates electrical energy through the temperature difference between the hand placed on it and the ambient temperature. In this way, energy is generated when the mouse is used, which means that the mouse does not have to be charged as often.
- a device for converting kinetic energy into electrical energy can be accommodated in the cavity.
- a device can be, for example, a magnetic flywheel is set in rotation by moving the mouse, which in turn generates electricity via a coil. Or the flywheel winds up a spring that stores kinetic energy and later returns it to the mouse.
- the upper part and the lower part can be connected to one another in a height-adjustable manner.
- a solar cell can be applied at least to the upper part, or at least the upper part can consist of a solar cell. So the mouse can be charged through the mouse cover.
- Fig. 1 shows a two-piece mouse cover of the present invention.
- Fig. 2 shows a one-piece mouse cover of the present invention in different views.
- Example 1 Mouse cover for an Apple Magic Mouse
- the mouse cover consists of an upper part 7 and a lower part 8, the mouse cover having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis;
- the lower part 8 has a substantially rectangular opening 6 into which the computer mouse is inserted, the computer mouse having only one button and having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis and having sliding strips along its longitudinal direction, the computer mouse resting on at least two front support points 1, 2 and two rear support points 3, 4 rests on the lower part 8;
- the upper part 7 has a support point 5 which rests on the computer mouse and which is aligned exactly with the tilting line of the mouse.
- the Apple Magic Mouse has only one button. When the button is pressed, the front part of the mouse is pushed down while at the same time the rear part is pushed up.
- the at least one support point 5 is aligned precisely on this tilting line.
- the upper part 7 has a convex shape (viewed from above), and the upper part 7 and the lower part 8 are connected to each other.
- the front support point 1 is connected to the rear support point 3 and the front support point 2 is connected to the rear support point 4 by means of support webs.
- the opening 6 forms a positive connection with the computer mouse along its longitudinal axis and/or transverse axis. With such a mouse cover, the full functionality of the Apple Magic Mouse is retained and it also has an ergonomic shape.
- the mouse cover consists of an upper part 7 and a lower part 8, the mouse cover having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis;
