また、光学接着剤や光学部材に用いられるカチオン硬化性樹脂組成物にも、優れた硬化性とさらなる高屈折率が求められている。
本発明は、硬化性に優れ、硬化物の屈折率が高い硬化性樹脂組成物を提供することを目的とする。また、本発明は、該硬化性樹脂組成物を含む表示素子用封止剤及び有機EL表示素子用封止剤を提供することを目的とする。更に、本発明は、該硬化性樹脂組成物を含む光学接着剤及び該硬化性樹脂組成物の硬化物を含む光学部材を提供することを目的とする。
本開示2は、上記分子内にフェノール性水酸基を有するフルオレン化合物は、1分子中にフェノール性水酸基を2つ以上有する本開示1の硬化性樹脂組成物である。
本開示3は、上記分子内にフェノール性水酸基を有するフルオレン化合物は、下記式(1)で表される化合物である本開示1又は2の硬化性樹脂組成物である。
本開示4は、上記硬化性樹脂組成物100重量部中における上記分子内にフェノール性水酸基を有するフルオレン化合物の含有量が3重量部以上60重量部以下である本開示1、2又は3の硬化性樹脂組成物である。
本開示5は、上記カチオン重合性化合物は、ビフェニル骨格とエポキシ基とを有する化合物、及び、ビフェニル骨格とオキセタニル基とを有する化合物の少なくともいずれかを含む本開示1、2、3又は4の硬化性樹脂組成物である。
本開示6は、硬化物の25℃におけるナトリウムD線の屈折率が1.6以上である本開示1、2、3、4又は5の硬化性樹脂組成物である。
本開示7は、E型粘度計を用いて、25℃にて測定した粘度が0.1Pa・s以上5000Pa・s以下である本開示1、2、3、4、5又は6の硬化性樹脂組成物である。
本開示8は、本開示1、2、3、4、5、6又は7の硬化性樹脂組成物を含む表示素子用封止剤である。

以下に本発明を詳述する。
なお、本明細書において上記「フェノール性水酸基」は、芳香族置換基上に存在するヒドロキシ基を意味する。
また、上記フェノール性水酸基含有フルオレン化合物は、得られる硬化性樹脂組成物の硬化物の屈折率をより高くする観点から、フルオレン骨格に含まれるもの以外の芳香環を有することが好ましい。硬化性の観点からは、フルオレン骨格に含まれるもの以外の芳香環がフェノール性水酸基を有することが好ましい。
上記カチオン重合性化合物は、ビフェニル骨格とエポキシ基とを有する化合物、及び、ビフェニル骨格とオキセタニル基とを有する化合物の少なくともいずれかを含むことが好ましい。上記ビフェニル骨格とエポキシ基とを有する化合物、及び、上記ビフェニル骨格とオキセタニル基とを有する化合物の少なくともいずれかを含有することにより、本発明の硬化性樹脂組成物は、硬化物の屈折率をより高くすることができる。
上記ビフェニル骨格とオキセタニル基とを有する化合物としては、具体的には例えば、下記式(3)で表される化合物等が挙げられる。
上記ビフェニル骨格とエポキシ基とを有する化合物及び上記ビフェニル骨格とオキセタニル基とを有する化合物は、単独で用いられてもよいし、2種以上が組み合わせて用いられてもよい。
該nは、式(3)で表される化合物が後述するオキセタニル当量の範囲を満たすものとなる値であることが好ましい。
なお、本明細書において、上記ビフェニル骨格とエポキシ基とを有する化合物のエポキシ当量は、(ビフェニル骨格とエポキシ基とを有する化合物の分子量)/(ビフェニル骨格とエポキシ基とを有する化合物1分子中のエポキシ基の数)を意味する。また、本明細書において、上記ビフェニル骨格とオキセタニル基とを有する化合物のオキセタニル当量は、(ビフェニル骨格とオキセタニル基とを有する化合物の分子量)/(ビフェニル骨格とオキセタニル基とを有する化合物1分子中のオキセタニル基の数)を意味する。
なお、本明細書において上記「分子量」は、分子構造が特定される化合物については、構造式から求められる分子量であるが、重合度の分布が広い化合物及び変性部位が不特定な化合物については、重量平均分子量を用いて表す場合がある。また、上記「重量平均分子量」は、ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー(GPC)で溶媒としてテトラヒドロフランを用いて測定を行い、ポリスチレン換算により求められる値である。GPCによってポリスチレン換算による重量平均分子量を測定する際に用いるカラムとしては、例えば、Shodex LF-804(昭和電工社製)等が挙げられる。
上記ビフェニル骨格とオキセタニル基とを有する化合物のうち市販されているものとしては、例えば、ETERNACOLL OXBP(宇部興産社製)等が挙げられる。
上記その他のカチオン重合性化合物としては、例えば、上記カチオン重合性化合物は、上記ビフェニル骨格とエポキシ基とを有する化合物以外のその他のエポキシ化合物、上記ビフェニル骨格とオキセタニル基とを有する化合物以外のその他のオキセタン化合物、ビニルエーテル化合物等が挙げられる。
アニオン重合触媒を用いた場合、得られる硬化性樹脂組成物が保存安定性や硬化性や変色防止性に劣るものとなることがあるところ、本発明の硬化性樹脂組成物は、上記カチオン重合開始剤を用いることにより、これらの特性にも優れるものとなる。
上記カチオン重合開始剤としては、熱カチオン重合開始剤や光カチオン重合開始剤が挙げられる。
上記三新化学工業社製の熱カチオン重合開始剤としては、例えば、サンエイドSI-60、サンエイドSI-80、サンエイドSI-B3、サンエイドSI-B3A、サンエイドSI-B4等が挙げられる。
上記King Industries社製の熱カチオン重合開始剤としては、例えば、CXC-1612、CXC-1821等が挙げられる。
上記イオン性光酸発生型の光カチオン重合開始剤としては、例えば、上記アニオン部分を有する、芳香族スルホニウム塩、芳香族ヨードニウム塩、芳香族ジアゾニウム塩、芳香族アンモニウム塩、(2,4-シクロペンタジエン-1-イル)((1-メチルエチル)ベンゼン)-Fe塩等が挙げられる。
上記みどり化学社製の光カチオン重合開始剤としては、例えば、DTS-200等が挙げられる。
上記ユニオンカーバイド社製の光カチオン重合開始剤としては、例えば、UVI6990、UVI6974等が挙げられる。
上記ADEKA社製の光カチオン重合開始剤としては、例えば、SP-150、SP-170等が挙げられる。
上記3M社製の光カチオン重合開始剤としては、例えば、FC-508、FC-512等が挙げられる。
上記BASF社製の光カチオン重合開始剤としては、例えば、IRGACURE261、IRGACURE290等が挙げられる。
上記ソルベイ社製の光カチオン重合開始剤としては、例えば、PI2074等が挙げられる。
上記サンアプロ社製の光カチオン重合開始剤としては、例えば、CPI-100P、CPI-200K、CPI-210S等が挙げられる。
上記ボレート系第4級アンモニウム塩の対アニオンは、BF4 -又は(BX4)-(ただし、Xは、少なくとも2つ以上のフッ素若しくはトリフルオロメチル基で置換されたフェニル基を表す)であることが好ましい。
これらの安定剤は、単独で用いられてもよいし、2種以上が組み合わせて用いられてもよい。
これらのシランカップリング剤は単独で用いられてもよいし、2種以上が組み合わせて用いられてもよい。
また、低アウトガス性の観点からは、上記シランカップリング剤の含有量は、上記カチオン重合性化合物100重量部に対して、好ましい上限が0.5重量部であり、より好ましい上限が0.1重量部であり、更に好ましい上限が0.01重量部である。
上記表面改質剤としては、例えば、界面活性剤やレベリング剤等が挙げられる。
上記表面改質剤のうち市販されているものとしては、例えば、ビックケミー・ジャパン社製の表面改質剤、AGCセイミケミカル社製の表面改質剤等が挙げられる。
上記ビックケミー・ジャパン社製の表面改質剤としては、例えば、BYK-330、BYK-340、BYK-345等が挙げられる。
上記AGCセイミケミカル社製の表面改質剤としては、例えば、サーフロンS-611等が挙げられる。
上記粘度は、例えば、E型粘度計としてVISCOMETER TV-22(東機産業社製)、No.7のローターを用いて1.0rpmの条件にて測定することができる。
上記屈折率の好ましい上限は特にないが、実質的な上限は1.9である。
上記「ナトリウムD線の屈折率」は、アッベ式屈折率計を用いて測定することができる。
また、上記屈折率を測定する硬化物としては、例えば、長さ20mm、幅10mm、厚さ100μmの測定片が用いられる。上記屈折率を測定する硬化物は、光硬化性樹脂組成物であれば1500mJ/cm2程度の紫外線を照射することで得ることができ、熱硬化性樹脂組成物であれば150℃で10分加熱することで得ることができ、光熱硬化性樹脂組成物であれば1500mJ/cm2程度の紫外線を照射した後に150℃で10分加熱することで得ることができる。
また、上記硬化収縮率の好ましい下限は特にないが、実質的な下限は1.0%である。
なお、本明細書において上記「硬化収縮率」は、硬化前の硬化性樹脂組成物の25℃における密度をDA、硬化性樹脂組成物の硬化物の25℃における密度をDBとしたとき、下記式により算出される値である。
硬化収縮率(%)=((DB-DA)/DB)×100
上記密度の測定に用いる硬化物は、光硬化性樹脂組成物であれば1500mJ/cm2程度の紫外線を照射することで得ることができ、熱硬化性樹脂組成物であれば150℃で10分加熱することで得ることができ、光熱硬化性樹脂組成物であれば1500mJ/cm2程度の紫外線を照射した後に150℃で10分加熱することで得ることができる。
また、本発明の有機EL表示素子用封止剤は、トップエミッション型の有機EL表示素子の封止に好適に用いられる。
これらの光源は、上記光カチオン重合開始剤の吸収波長に合わせて適宜選択される。
上記無機材料膜を構成する無機材料としては、従来公知のものを用いることができ、例えば、窒化珪素(SiNx)や酸化珪素(SiOx)等が挙げられる。上記無機材料膜は、1層であってもよく、複数種の層を積層したものであってもよい。また、上記無機材料膜と本発明の有機EL表示素子用封止剤により構成される樹脂膜とを、交互に繰り返して上記積層体を被覆してもよい。
上記一方の基材は、有機発光材料層を有する積層体の形成されている基材であってもよく、該積層体の形成されていない基材であってもよい。
上記一方の基材が上記積層体の形成されていない基材である場合、上記他方の基材を貼り合わせた際に、上記積層体を外気から保護できるように上記一方の基材に本発明の有機EL表示素子用封止剤を塗布すればよい。即ち、他方の基材を貼り合わせた際に上記積層体の位置となる場所に全面的に塗布するか、又は、他方の基材を貼り合わせた際に上記積層体の位置となる場所が完全に収まる形状に、閉じたパターンの封止剤部を形成してもよい。
また、上記有機EL表示素子を封止する方法として、いわゆるダム・フィル封止の方法を用いてもよい。即ち、まず、有機EL表示素子の基板上に表示部の周縁を囲むように硬化性のペーストを塗布する。次いで、塗布した硬化性のペーストの内側に本発明の有機EL表示素子用封止剤を塗布し、周縁の硬化性ペーストにより封止剤のはみ出しを防止しながら対向する封止基板を貼り合わせる。その後、周縁の硬化性ペーストと内側に押し拡げられた本発明の有機EL表示素子用封止剤とを、加熱及び光照射の少なくともいずれかにより硬化させる方法を用いてもよい。
上記有機EL表示素子用封止剤を加熱及び光照射の少なくともいずれかにより硬化させる工程を、上記一方の基材と上記他方の基材とを貼り合わせる工程の前に行なう場合、本発明の有機EL表示素子用封止剤は、加熱及び光照射の少なくともいずれかを行ってから硬化反応が進行して接着ができなくなるまでの可使時間が1分以上であることが好ましい。上記可使時間が1分以上であることにより、上記一方の基材と上記他方の基材とを貼り合わせる前に硬化が進行し過ぎることなく、より高い接着強度を得ることができる。
上記減圧雰囲気下の真空度の好ましい下限は0.01kPa、好ましい上限は10kPaである。上記減圧雰囲気下の真空度がこの範囲であることにより、真空装置の気密性や真空ポンプの能力から真空状態を達成するのに長時間を費やすことなく、上記一方の基材と上記他方の基材とを貼り合わせる際の本発明の有機EL表示素子用封止剤中の気泡をより効率的に除去することができる。
表1、2に記載された配合比に従い、各材料を、撹拌混合機を用いて撹拌速度2000rpmで撹拌混合することにより、実施例1~10、比較例1~3の各硬化性樹脂組成物を作製した。撹拌混合機としては、AR-250(シンキー社製)を用いた。
実施例及び比較例で得られた各硬化性樹脂組成物について以下の評価を行った。結果を表1、2に示した。
実施例及び比較例で得られた各硬化性樹脂組成物について、E型粘度計を用いて、25℃、1.0rpmの条件における粘度(初期粘度)を測定した。E型粘度計としては、VISCOMETER TV-22(東機産業社製)を用い、ローターとしては、No.7のローターを用いた。
また、実施例及び比較例で得られた各硬化性樹脂組成物を40℃で72時間保管したときの粘度を初期粘度と同様にして測定し、((40℃、72時間保管後の粘度)-(初期粘度))/(初期粘度)を粘度変化率として導出した。
粘度変化率が1.10未満であった場合を「○」、1.10以上2.00未満であった場合を「△」、2.00以上であった場合又はゲル化した場合を「×」として保存安定性を評価した。
実施例及び比較例で得られた各硬化性樹脂組成物を、ガラス基板上に0.3g滴下した。次いで、実施例1~4、8~10、及び、比較例1~3で得られた硬化性樹脂組成物については、100℃で30分加熱し、実施例5~7で得られた硬化性樹脂組成物については、UV-LEDを用いて波長365nmの紫外線を1500mJ/cm2照射した。加熱又は光照射後の硬化性樹脂組成物について、硬化しているかどうか、及び、表面タック又は粘着性を有しているかどうかを確認した。
硬化し、表面タック及び粘着性を有していなかった場合を「○」、硬化しているが、表面タック又は粘着性を有していた場合を「△」、硬化しなかった場合を「×」として硬化性を評価した。
実施例及び比較例で得られた各硬化性樹脂組成物及び硬化物の密度を、乾式密度計(島津製作所社製、「アキュピックII 1345」)を用いて測定した。なお、実施例1~4、8~10、及び、比較例1~3で得られた硬化性樹脂組成物については、150℃で10分加熱し、実施例5~7で得られた硬化性樹脂組成物については、UV-LEDを用いて波長365nmの紫外線を1500mJ/cm2照射することにより、硬化物を得た。
得られた各密度から、上述した式により硬化収縮率を算出した。
実施例及び比較例で得られた各硬化性樹脂組成物を、バイアル瓶中に300mg計量して封入した後、硬化させた。実施例1~4、8~10、及び、比較例1~3で得られた硬化性樹脂組成物については、100℃で30分間加熱して硬化させ、実施例5~7で得られた硬化性樹脂組成物については、UV-LEDを用いて波長365nmの紫外線を1500mJ/cm2照射して硬化させた。次いで、トルエン換算によるバイアル瓶中のアウトガス量を、ガスクロマトグラフ質量分析計を用いて測定した。ガスクロマトグラフ質量分析計としては、JMS-Q1050(日本電子社製)を用いた。
アウトガス量が100ppm未満であった場合を「○○」、100ppm以上200ppm未満であった場合を「○」、200ppm以上400ppm未満であった場合を「△」、400ppm以上であった場合を「×」として低アウトガス性を評価した。
厚さ100μmのシリコーンゴムシートを長さ20mm、幅10mmの長方形にくり抜いて型を作製した。この型を離型PETフィルム上に置き、型の中に実施例及び比較例で得られた各硬化性樹脂組成物を充填した後、もう1枚の離型PETフィルムを気泡が残らないように重ね、積層体を得た。得られた積層体を2枚のガラス板に挟み込んで固定し、硬化性樹脂組成物を硬化させた。実施例1~4、8~10、及び、比較例1~3で得られた硬化性樹脂組成物については、150℃で10分間加熱して硬化させ、実施例5~7で得られた硬化性樹脂組成物については、UV-LEDを用いて波長365nmの紫外線を1500mJ/cm2照射して硬化させた。その後、PETフィルムを剥がしてシリコーンゴムシートから封止剤の硬化物を取り出し、長さ10mm、幅20mm、厚さ100μmの試験片を得た。得られた試験片について、アッベ式屈折率計を用いて、25℃におけるナトリウムD線の屈折率を測定した。アッベ式屈折率計としては、NAR-4T(アタゴ社製)を用いた。
屈折率が1.60以上であった場合を「○」、1.58以上1.60未満であった場合を「△」、1.58未満であった場合を「×」として屈折率を評価した。
100μm厚みのPETフィルムで作製した型をガラス基板上に置き、型の中に実施例及び比較例で得られた各硬化性樹脂組成物を充填した後、もう1枚のガラス基板を気泡が残らないように重ね、硬化性樹脂組成物を硬化させて試験片を得た。実施例1~4、8~10、及び、比較例1~3で得られた硬化性樹脂組成物については、100℃で30分間加熱して硬化させ、実施例5~7で得られた硬化性樹脂組成物については、UV-LEDを用いて波長365nmの紫外線を1500mJ/cm2照射して硬化させた。
得られた試験片について、25℃において、分光光度計(日立ハイテクサイエンス社製、「U-3900」)を用いて、430nmの波長における透過率を測定した。
透過率が97%以上であった場合を「○」、92%以上97%未満であった場合を「△」、92%未満であった場合を「×」として、変色防止性を評価した。
Claims (11)
- カチオン重合性化合物と、カチオン重合開始剤と、分子内にフェノール性水酸基を有するフルオレン化合物とを含有することを特徴とする硬化性樹脂組成物。
- 前記分子内にフェノール性水酸基を有するフルオレン化合物は、1分子中にフェノール性水酸基を2つ以上有する請求項1記載の硬化性樹脂組成物。
- 前記硬化性樹脂組成物100重量部中における前記分子内にフェノール性水酸基を有するフルオレン化合物の含有量が3重量部以上60重量部以下である請求項1、2又は3記載の硬化性樹脂組成物。
- 前記カチオン重合性化合物は、ビフェニル骨格とエポキシ基とを有する化合物、及び、ビフェニル骨格とオキセタニル基とを有する化合物の少なくともいずれかを含む請求項1、2、3又は4記載の硬化性樹脂組成物。
- 硬化物の25℃におけるナトリウムD線の屈折率が1.6以上である請求項1、2、3、4又は5記載の硬化性樹脂組成物。
- E型粘度計を用いて、25℃にて測定した粘度が0.1Pa・s以上5000Pa・s以下である請求項1、2、3、4、5又は6記載の硬化性樹脂組成物。
- 請求項1、2、3、4、5、6又は7記載の硬化性樹脂組成物を含む表示素子用封止剤。
- 請求項1、2、3、4、5、6又は7記載の硬化性樹脂組成物を含む有機EL表示素子用封止剤。
- 請求項1、2、3、4、5、6又は7記載の硬化性樹脂組成物を含む光学接着剤。
- 請求項1、2、3、4、5、6又は7記載の硬化性樹脂組成物の硬化物を含む光学部材。
