Definitions
- the present invention relates to an antifungal agent, an antifungal product having an antifungal layer containing the antifungal agent, and an antifungal paint containing the antifungal agent.
- Known antifungal agents include compounds such as phenol, organotin, triazine, sulfonylpyridine halide, captan, organic copper, chloronaphthalene, and chlorophenylpyritadin ( See Patent Document 1).
- Patent Document 2 discloses a dispersion having deodorant, antibacterial, and antifungal properties, in which a carboxylate metal salt formed from a carboxyl group-containing polymer and a metal compound is dispersed.
- antifungal agents in the form of drugs and antifungal agents that use the toxicity of metal ions have been viewed as problematic in terms of environmental pollution and safety.
- an anti-algae main component is orthoferrite containing a rare earth element selected from lanthanum (La), praseodymium (Pr), neodymium (Nd), and yttrium (Y), iron, and oxygen.
- a rare earth element selected from lanthanum (La), praseodymium (Pr), neodymium (Nd), and yttrium (Y), iron, and oxygen.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above background, an antifungal agent with low environmental pollution and excellent safety, an antifungal product having an antifungal layer containing the antifungal agent, and the antifungal agent.
- An object of the present invention is to provide an antifungal paint containing a fungicide.
- the present inventors have made intensive studies to solve the above problems. Then, the inventors have found that a rare earth ferrite having a specific composition can be used as an antifungal agent with low environmental pollution and excellent safety, and have completed the present invention. That is, the present invention is as follows.
- Ln2xFe2 (1-x) O3 1 (In formula (1), Ln is a rare earth element selected from the group consisting of lanthanum, praseodymium, neodymium, and yttrium, and x is a number of 0.45 or more and less than 1.00.).
- an antifungal agent with low environmental pollution and excellent safety is provided.
- the antifungal agent of the present invention exerts an antifungal effect on its surroundings as well.
- the antifungal effect can be spread even to parts that are not in direct contact with the antifungal agent of the present invention. Therefore, when producing an anti-mold product using the anti-mold agent of the present invention, the anti-mold effect can be exhibited without the presence of the anti-mold agent in the entire product.
- the antifungal agent of the present invention has excellent dispersibility in water, organic solvents, and the like. Therefore, it is possible to prepare dispersion liquids, paints, and the like by dispersing them in various media. Therefore, by applying the paint or the like containing the antifungal agent of the present invention to an article or the like to be a substrate to form a layer containing the antifungal agent, it is possible to apply the antifungal agent to materials to which the antifungal agent could not be applied until now, or It becomes possible to impart an antifungal effect to a place having a shape.
- the antifungal agent of the present invention is a rare earth ferrite compound having a specific composition and is represented by the following formula (1): Ln2xFe2 (1-x) O3 ( 1) (In formula (1), Ln is a rare earth element selected from the group consisting of lanthanum, praseodymium, neodymium, and yttrium, and x is a number of 0.45 or more and less than 1.00.).
- the present inventors have studied in detail the composition of rare earth ferrite and its antifungal effect. As a result, it was found that a high antifungal effect can be obtained by setting the rare earth (Ln):Fe ratio in the rare earth ferrite to the above range.
- the antifungal agent of the present invention may take any form as long as x in the above formula (1) is a number of 0.45 or more and less than 1.00.
- a solid solution having a uniform composition as a whole may be formed, or a mixture of LnFeO 3 phase and Ln 2 O 3 phase may be formed, or a uniform composition solid solution, LnFeO 3 phase, and Ln 2 O may be formed. It may be a mixture with three phases. Also, phases other than these may be included.
