It is presumed that it was done.
- the polymerizable boronic acid compound is widely used as a vertical alignment agent for vertically orienting a liquid crystal compound.
- the polymerizable boronic acid compound did not sufficiently function as a vertical alignment agent and did not prevent the liquid crystal compound from being horizontally oriented. As a result, it is presumed that a light absorption anisotropic film with a high degree of orientation was obtained.
- the liquid crystal composition used for forming the light absorption anisotropic film of the present invention contains a liquid crystal compound, a dichroic substance, and a polymerizable boronic acid compound.
- the liquid crystal composition may contain a solvent, a surface improver, a polymerization initiator, and other components other than these, if necessary. Hereinafter, each component will be described.

k=-log(T)×λ/(4πd)
液晶表示装置に利用される液晶セルは、VA(Vertical Alignment)モード、OCB(Optically Compensated Bend)モード、IPS(In-Plane-Switching)モード、またはTN(Twisted Nematic)モードであることが好ましいが、これらに限定されるものではない。
また、PVA(Patterned Vertical Alignment)型、光配向型(Optical Alignment)、およびPSA(Polymer-Sustained Alignment)のいずれであってもよい。
