Abstract
Description
これら包装材料として用いられる基材としては、安価で高いバリア性能を付与できることから表面に蒸着処理が施された透明樹脂フィルムが用いられている。
前記蒸着処理としてはAlOxやSiOxなどを蒸着する処理が広く用いられているが、これらの蒸着膜はひねり、折れ等に弱く容易に塗膜が崩壊するため、蒸着膜上に親水性の高い水素結合性基を有する樹脂をコーティングし用いられている。
しかしながらコーティングに用いられる親水性の高い水素結合性基を有する樹脂は干渉条件下において優れたガスバリア性を発揮する一方、高湿度条件下では水素結合基の存在に起因してガスバリア性が低下するという問題が存在した。
スパッタ装置として、マグネトロンスパッタ装置(キャノンアネルバ社製:型式EB1100)を用いた。
ターゲットとして酸化亜鉛ターゲットを用い、基材フィルムとしては透明蒸着PETフィルム(バリアロックス1011HG、東レフィルム加工株式会社製)を用いた。
プロセスガスにはアルゴンを用いて、酸化亜鉛蒸着層を形成した。スパッタ電源パワーは、5.0W/cm2とし、成膜圧力は0.4Paとした。酸素分圧は、10%とした。蒸着時間を制御することにより表1に記載する膜厚の製造例1~3を得た。
製造例1~3と同様の条件で、ターゲットとして酸化マグネシウムを用い、酸化マグネシウム蒸着層を形成した。
製造例1~3と同様の条件で、ターゲットとして酸化カルシウムを用い、酸化カルシウム蒸着層を形成した
PVD蒸着装置として、EB加熱及び抵抗加熱可能な真空蒸着装置(アルバックテクノ株式会社製VPC-1100)内に、ルツボにターゲットとして酸化亜鉛を入れ、真空度:3.0×10-3Paまで排気して、製膜速度を水晶振動子により確認しながら10Å/s~500Å/sの範囲で製膜出来る様に加熱した。製膜時間を制御することにより表2に記載する膜厚の製造例6~8を得た。
プロセスガスとして、極少量の酸素もしくは水蒸気を導入した。
(樹脂溶液調整例1)
フラスコにてポリビニルアルコール(以下PVAと省略する事がある)粉末(クラレポバール 60-98、クラレ社製):50gをイオン交換水950g中で加熱、撹拌させながら溶解し、固形分濃度が5%となる調整液1を得た。
フラスコにてポリアクリル酸粉末(アクリットAS-58、日本触媒社製):20gをIイソプロパノール980g中で加熱、撹拌させながら溶解し、固形分濃度が2%となる調整液2を得た。
樹脂溶液調整例1で得られた調整液1 37gと、クエン酸1.85gと水59gを混合し、コーティング液1を得た。得られたコーティング剤を、ZnOを100nm厚に蒸着させた透明蒸着PETフィルム蒸着面にバーコーターを用いて乾燥後の塗工厚みが約0.4g/m2になるように塗工した。塗工後すぐ80℃の乾燥機中で2分加熱し、積層体を作製した。得られた積層体は40℃の乾燥機で1日間エージングした後、積層体のガスバリア性評価を行った。
実施例2~11についても表1に記載の厚みにZnOを蒸着させた基材とコーティング液を作製し、実施例1と同様の方法により積層体を製造し、評価を行った。これらの結果を表1に示す。
調整液1を37gと、クエン酸1.85gと水59gを混合し、コーティング液1を得た。得られたコーティング剤を、透明蒸着PETフィルム(バリアロックス1011HG、東レフィルム加工株式会社製、厚み:12μm)の蒸着面に、バーコーターを用いて乾燥後の塗工厚みが約0.4g/m2になるように塗工した。塗工後すぐ80℃の乾燥機中で2分加熱し、樹脂コートフィルムを作製した。基材として樹脂コートフィルムを使用する以外は、製造例1~3と同様の方法で、蒸着時間を制御することにより表1に記載する膜厚のフィルム(実施例12~14)を得た。
樹脂溶液調整例2で得られた調整液2を、ZnOを100nm厚に蒸着させた透明蒸着PETフィルム蒸着面にバーコーターを用いて乾燥後の塗工厚みが約0.4g/m2になるように塗工した。塗工後すぐ80℃の乾燥機中で1分加熱し、積層体を作製した。得られた積層体は40℃の乾燥機で1日間エージングした後、積層体のガスバリア性評価を行った。
実施例1で使用したものと同等のコーティング液1を作製し、ZnOを蒸着していない透明蒸着PETフィルム(バリアロックス1011HG、東レフィルム加工株式会社製、厚み:12μm)の蒸着面にバーコーターを用いて乾燥後の塗工厚みが約0.4g/m2になるように塗工した。塗工後すぐ80℃の乾燥機中で2分加熱し、積層体を作製した。得られた積層体は40℃の乾燥機で1日間エージングした後、積層体のガスバリア性評価を行った。
調整液1を、ZnOを100nm厚に蒸着させた透明蒸着PETフィルムの蒸着面にバーコーターを用いて乾燥後の塗工厚みが約0.4g/m2になるように塗工した。塗工後すぐ80℃の乾燥機中で2分加熱し、積層体を作製した。得られた積層体は40℃の乾燥機で1日間エージングした後、積層体のガスバリア性評価を行った。
一次粒子径20nmのZnO(堺化学工業株式会社製、FINEX-50):150gとIPA:850gを混合し、ビーズミル(アシザワ・ファインテック株式会社製:ラボスターミニ LMZ015)中で直径0.3mmのジルコニアビーズを使って1時間分散処理した後、ビーズをふるい分け、固形分濃度:15%のZnO溶液を得た。この分散液中のZnOの粒径は88nmであった。このZnO分散液を、透明蒸着PETフィルム(バリアロックス1011HG、東レフィルム加工株式会社製、厚み:12μm)にバーコーターを用いて乾燥後の塗工厚みが約0.4g/m2になるように塗工した。塗工後すぐ80℃の乾燥機中で1分加熱し、積層体を作製した。つぎに、実施例1で使用したものと同等のコーティング液1を作製し、作製したフィルムのZnO塗工面にバーコーターを用いて乾燥後の塗工厚みが約0.4g/m2になるように塗工した。塗工後すぐ80℃の乾燥機中で2分加熱し、積層体を作製した。得られた積層体は40℃の乾燥機で1日間エージングした後、積層体のガスバリア性評価を行った。
酸素透過率の測定は、JIS-K7126(等圧法)に準じ、モコン社製酸素透過率測定装置OX-TRAN2/21を用いて、温度23℃、湿度0%RHの雰囲気下、及び、温度23℃、湿度90%RHの雰囲気下で実施した。RHとは相対湿度を表す。尚、酸素透過率の単位は、cc/day・atm・m2である。
水蒸気透過率(MVTR)の測定は、JIS-K7129に準じ、イリノイ社製水蒸気透過率測定装置7001を用いて、温度40℃、湿度90%RHの雰囲気下で測定した。尚、酸素透過率の単位は、g/m2・dayである。
Claims (7)
- 気相薄膜作成法により形成された金属層(A)と、
構造中にカルボキシ基を有する化合物により形成された(B)層、
とが積層されたガスバリア性積層体。 - 前記金属層(A)が金属酸化物、金属水酸化物、金属塩からなる群から選ばれる一種以上により形成された層である、請求項1に記載のガスバリア性積層体。
- 前記金属層(A)が、酸化亜鉛、酸化マグネシウム、酸化カルシウムから選択される一種以上の金属酸化物により形成された金属層である、請求項1または2に記載のガスバリア性積層体。
- 前記気相薄膜作成法が物理的堆積法であることを特徴とする請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載のガスバリア性積層体。
- 前記構造中にカルボキシ基を有する化合物が、分子中に2個以上のカルボキシ基を含有する多価カルボン酸化合物であることを特徴とする、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載のガスバリア性積層体。
- さらに、樹脂製フィルム基材層を有することを特徴とする請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載のガスバリア性積層体。
- 請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載のガスバリア性積層体からなる包装体。
